This is actually pretty interesting.
[sp]It seems like somehow the entire idea of Jedi and the Force were somehow considered to be legend even though Luke proved to a large population that the Jedi + force are real only ~50 years before episode 7[/sp]
so the jedi are like a forgotten myth by now?
sheeeet
hype levels are at max level
Goosebumps.
Really digging Kylo Ren, looks like a certain someone out of KOTOR
I really hope this doesn't mean Luke sat on his ass and didn't bother trying to form a New Jedi Order. Although considering how secretive his role seems so far maybe he's forming it in secret right now?
Also dat Knights of Ren groupshot
thats a badass trailer but am i the only one who was a little put off by the villain's voice? it sounds low pitched or something.
So many questions.
I hate the music. What is happening to me
Still remaining optimistic. I swear though if I see Jar Jar Binks bullshit shove its ass in I'll audibly groan in the theater.

He proved it to a small hand of people and before the Republic fell only a few people would actually see a Jedi in a fight in their entire lives.
I'm starting to think that the Imperials somehow managed to make a comeback after Endor might explain why the Jedi and the Force have been completely forgotten or why Luke hasn't apparently tried to establish a new Jedi Order.
Oh my god I can't wait for this movie
Also, with everyone saying they are surprised the Jedi are a myth.... One man (Luke) won't change the fact that the majority of the galaxy didn't even know what a Jedi was even during their height. There were around 10,000 Jedi during the prequels, and even then they weren't recognized by all.
In the original trilogy, they were all but extinct and the Empire spouted propaganda to remove them completely. Even some people who worked at Vader's side in the OT thought he was just a nutjob (The guy he chokes out?) because the lack of Jedi was so effective in culling any information on them. They are all but a legend.

THAT MANDALORIAN FLAG IN THE FLAG SCENE.

This was something that bothered me a lot about the prequels. In 20 years, Jedis went from being the galactic UN to a myth.
I hope Luke isn't the bad guy.

There were only 10k in the entire GALAXY. The average person would never see or even hear about a Jedi except through passing.
Anyone who beloved in the Jedi would be countered by the empires propaganda

the big twist is kylo ren is luke!!!!!
(I hope that's not gonna be a thing or anything similar to that)
its best to just discard the prequels as trash
They're still part of the canon, you can't just ignore half the story.

It's still hard to believe that no one knew what Jedis were. The whole galaxy seems to get amnesia even though, "for over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic."
I was actually kinda hoping that John Boyega would have his British accent. Oh well, it's not too much of a big deal.
Are there any story spoilers in this trailer? I want to keep any major story points out of my head since I know that I'll remember them.

To be fair the usual denizens of the Star Wars universe aren't too bright if they aren't a notable named character with non-dying screentime usually.
And sometimes even those people make dumb decisions and seem to use important info very badly.

That would make him a bad guy.
