Jeff made a fake study group to get with Britta and then it turned in to a real study group when others came. The main characters are Jeff Winger (Joel McHale), Britta Perry (Gillian Jacobs), Annie Edison (Alison Brie), Shirley Bennet (Yvette Nichole Brown, the woman that played Helen from Drake and Josh), Abed Nadir (Danny Pudi), Troy Barns (Childish Gambino/Donand Glover) and Pierce Hawthorne (Chevy Chase). Other characters include The Dean (Jim Rash), Ben/Kevin/Senor Chang (Ken Jeong, that asian guy from The Hangover), and Professor Ian Duncan, (John Oliver, who was on The Daily Show)
The comparison has been made that The Big Bang Theory is a show about geeks made for normal people, while Community is a show about normal people made for geeks.
Dan Harmon is the show runner and lead writer, for seasons 1, 2, 3, and 5. He was fired for Season 4, but brought back because fans and Joel McHale wanted him back.
Seasons 1, 2, and 3 had 22 episodes, Seasons 4 and 5 have 13.
Season 5 begins Jan. 2nd.
Also, Chevy Chase isn't going to be in Season 5, and Donald Glover is only going to be in 5 episodes.
Did I mention it's a fucking awesome show? No? It is.

The thread is on the second page just to let you know. Can't wait until second season, even though Chevy Chase isn't going to be in it and Donald Glover will have a very minimal appearance (already predicting the best episodes will have him in it, but I could be wrong now that Dan is writing again).
