Hi
I'm currently driving a 1988 Ford thunderbird:

It's a good car but I'm beginning to get tired of it and I would like something that is maybe a little bit better on gas than a 5.0L V8. so what I'm looking for is a car that is fun to drive, looks decent, and is fairly fuel efficient. oh yeah it needs to be below $5,000. can you guys provide with a little insight?
I was looking at the 1997 honda preludes (or any honda that is 1985-1998), 1992 jeep wranglers, and some volkswagons. sorry for the screen real-estate-raping pic.
Go Honda. i got a 96 Honda accord for 1500. Runs great and the cosmetics are fine. Need to vacuum it and tell my mom to stop leaving her coffee cups in it and ill be fine.

Give us location and whether you want standard/automatic, 2door/4door, etc. We'll find you a good used car.
Hint: Just look around craigslist or w/e.
Bentley R-Type Continental. Its all worth it.
Not a BMW though. BMW = Big Money Waste.

I own an e36 318is and it's been fine financially. BMW's are reliable and relatively moderately priced to repair.
Seriously I wouldn't have any other car.

Prelude, go for it. It has pin-sharp handling, bags of power and in my opinion, looks pretty decent. I just bought one for £2300 and it's the best buy of my life. Go for the 2.2 VTEC, preferably manual and you'll never regret it. You honestly won't get more car for your money. My Lude:

Apparently everyone in the cars thread is here so what's up?
Oh and if you like preludes go ahead and get one, they're pretty nice cars and not too bad on gas.
Preludes aren't sold in US?

Lawl do they even sell small, fuel efficient cars in the USA?
^lol!!!!!!!
I want a Ford Mondeo but they don't sell them in the states.
My family has gone through 4 w bodies from gm(grand prix, regal, impala, monte carlo), all lasted 150,000+ miles.
My next car is going to be one. Enough power to have fun, and they get 30mpg highway. Spend a little more and can get a supercharged one.
Get a Geo. They're cheap and fantastic on gas, but slow as hell.
