Furthermore, this event is specifically about Trumps refusal to release his Income Tax records. That is something he repeatedly said he would eventually do, but is now refusing to.

Other than that, the White House press department seems ready to go full-blown disinformation gaslighting on the American people. He hasn't set much into motion yet, but everything he's talked about has been beyond worrisome, especially if you give half a shit about freedom of the press and you don't appreciate the White House becoming a fake news manufacturer.

I think protesting/marching etc. as much as possible leading up to Tax Day would make more of an impact than organising one protest for 3 months' time.

Imagine doing taxes on Tax Day to a government that thinks not paying taxes makes you smart.
