That's pretty cool
cool
Holy shit, just like everyone years ago saw the future.
Do fucking want
I so can't wait until these things are release to the public in mass. There would also work well for the elderly, the disabled (including other things besides blindness) and those who never learned how to drive.
Your move Apple...
Your move Apple...
Google has always been about cool research projects, and things they think will change the way we live - apple has always been about making overpriced computers or gimmicky toys. Chances are they will not do anything like this, ever. It's not their market (even though could definitely afford to go into it).
This is the best, but what are the costs for this extra installment? Probably as much as the car, at the moment.
Why would a blind man need to wear a wrist watch?
Why would a blind man need to wear a wrist watch?
He's not completely blind
This is the best, but what are the costs for this extra installment? As soon as they will start mass-producing these cars, the prices will go down.
If any of you want to know why perfectly functioning cars for the blind like these aren't on the road just ask yourself one question: If the car gets into an accident, who pays the damages?
If any of you want to know why perfectly functioning cars for the blind like these aren't on the road just ask yourself one question: If the car gets into an accident, who pays the damages?
My best answer to that is if it's determined to be the self-driving car's fault, the designer is at fault - whereas if it's a non-self driving car who's at fault, their insurance company pays it. If all cars were self driving, I don't know how insurance companies would work to be honest.
Google makes something like this, doesn't even mention the word "Revolutionary" I dont know if Apple has ever made something that they didnt call Revolutionary.
This is awesome.
Breaking News: Apple suing google over self driving car idea that Apple insist they came up with it first.
Finally a car where I can text and not have to worry about driving.
Self driving eh? How does it know where the talk thing is in a drive thru?
That's really neat and everything, but I think this just fuels my fear of others driving even more.
This seems pretty amazing and just judging from this trailer also reliable. I'm sure it's not as perfect in reality, but I hope it will be one day.

Jokes on Google, Apple patented driving
Yes, let's take the joy out of driving!
Yes, let's take the joy out of driving!
How could you possibly miss the point so hard? man, you are either spectacularily stupid or trolling. This is amazing technology, thanks for sharing.
It's funny how people go "your move Apple" etc., that'd be the same if you said "your move Dell" if Siemens came out with some innovative dishwasher or something.
Kinda confused how it knew where the drive through window was e.t.c It's not like you can precompute that. Still fantastic.
Yes, let's take the joy out of driving!
Yeah that blind man was having so much fun driving before Google came along, bastards!
Why would a blind man need to wear a wrist watch?
http://www.assistech.com/low_vision/clocks-and-watches.htm Braille, sound watches.
Was that a big red button on the center console? I think it was. Google knows how I think. I like big red buttons that scream "OVERRIDE".
