It took me fucking AGES to finish this one up, but I'm finally finished, and I'm so happy with how this one turned out (as usual). I've been posting these here since the beginning, and all of you have given me the support I needed to get it at least somewhat off the ground - I'm now at 3K subs, and from what I've been told, that's only gonna rise. So thanks to you guys, who are most of my fans (still a weird thing to say but it is what it is, I suppose). You guys have been incredibly constructive and supportive throughout this whole "thing" I'm doing. As the channel expands, I have growing ambitions for what it could (and hopefully WILL) be. I'm excited to show you guys even more stuff, I have a lot planned for the schedule. I'm planning BIG stuff for PGunnii.
aaaa mgs3 was 2004 not 2002

how the fuck did i miss that one i even googled it for the episode
I fucking love your videos
its a nice little spin you have with the humour on a video that could be presented in a very generic, informational video

thanks man!! that's something i'm pretty proud of - from what i've read in the comments, it's a big factor in the videos. it's kinda crazy cause that's just how i write things out, it's actually pretty unintentional
SAMP and MTA were the shit
SAMP and MTA were the shit
i wish i could've been a part of that crowd when it was big. by the time i had any sort of gaming pc, it was already years after the community was more or less gone. at least the majority was. all i found was a bunch of weird russian servers
Loved it. Loved every bit of it! You're funny as shit and you capture everything that I felt when I first played the game perfectly.
Really on the spot too. Even my parents took it away from me for a while because of the same reason :v:
I would love to hear you talk about the half-life universe too, You seem like someone who could express the feels we got when first booting it up in 1999 - 2004. (If you played it then ofc) I know it has been done before but the completionist and many other youtubers seem to only dickride the fanbase by talking about the same shit everyone else says about the games. Your way of describing things felt different and relatable.

Also; holy shit I didn't even notice it was 19 minutes long?! It felt like ten minutes. Not sucking up because i want half-life videos. It really tripped me out after I noticed it.
Man, San Andreas was the shit. I used to play it all the time, and I keep coming back to it. I always manage to get stuck at the "learning to fly" mission, though. Goddamn flying in San Andreas on the PC is a nightmare.

Man, you don't even know what this post means to me. Thanks so so much man, I'm so happy I could share that feeling and that anyone even gets it or understands. I do plan to do Half-Life at some point - I owe a great deal to that series. At the same time, fucking it up could mean disastrous results for me :v: but I'm sure that I'll definitely do it or something about it. At least when I have a little bit more experience.

don't even get me started on the pc port :v:
I really don't think that you could possibly fuck up anything if you put as much effort into making future videos as you have done with your previous ones. Especially this one.
Plus, you're a facepunch user! Which basically makes you a veteran at understanding what stirrs up a hivemind and what doesn't.
Seen your channel for the first time, but I'll have to say, great video. Keep 'em coming!

Thanks so much man! It's always great to see new viewers. You can definitely expect more. Although this is about the 7th PG I've made, it still feels like only the very beginning.

It's not, just like flying on GTA V is a piece of cake even with a keyboard. You just need to configure the keys. The only problem with the PC port of SA is the shitty frame limiter which breaks the game in many ways.

flying with a keyboard in sa is a nightmare dude. i mean, you gotta use the numpad, but even that sometimes barely even works? the fact that there is abysmal controller support is really the killer for me
I honestly want a new gta game on the old engine. GTA V might have good graphics and a big map, but it already got boring as fuck once you're done with the bland story and the online is absolute shite, MTA was 10x more fun than that.
Rockstar should prioritize gameplay over the graphics always.

Are you one of those people who can't complete the rc helicopter bomb mission in vice city pc?
I love the way the map is designed in SA. Three distinct areas condensed in a tiny map, but still felt huge during gameplay. The map in V might be technically bigger, but it feels a LOT smaller than SA. I just wish Rockstar would have put a bit more effort into the desert. It's way too small and doesn't have that creepy/mystery feeling SA had.

i really like the story in gta v, and the gameplay was fucking at the peak of the franchise if you ask me. but honestly, it'd be neat if they released the engine code or something. i feel like there's a lot of potential for a total conversion mod

this. i was pretty disappointed by the woodland and desert areas. something about them in SA felt fucking crazy giant, desolate, and intimidating. it felt like actual wilderness. in gta v even the woods they did have felt more like weird tourist attractions than they did actual forests. weird.

You do know you can turn that off in the menu, right? I've been running SA on pc on my 144hz with no problems.

A lot of things in the older GTA games are framerate dependent, some things just flat out break and some things are different, like swimming speed is waaaay slower with higher FPS. https://kb.speeddemosarchive.com/Grand_Theft_Auto:_San_Andreas/Game_Mechanics_and_Glitches#Frame_Limiter_.2F_FPS_Dependency
You can still probably get through most of SA without too many problems, it's not as bad as 3 or Vice City which are pretty much unplayable on modern PCs with the limiter turned off.
I wish I could play games again the way I played San Andreas all those years back. Just fucking about for hours, exploring the map, jumping off shit or screwing with pedestrians.
Hell, I played it for a good 6 months or so before I even tried progressing in the story, I just fucked around with all the cheats (that I still remember by heart). I never finished it until a couple years ago when I bought it for PC

Man, The swimming was always slow a hell :v: Sometimes it was better to just kill youself if you happened to drive out into the ocean. Better that than playing in 30fps all the time just to get a few extra strokes

Yeah I totally regret only just fuckinga round in the game when i was younger. I never got to even see 1/12th of the whole game I was playing.
So many hours wasted on flying cars and puting c4s on rednecks
I remember I had printed every cheat code for the ps2 version

How do nostalgia goggles even make somebody this delusional
How do nostalgia goggles even make somebody this delusional
Yeah, but I see his point. I for one still plays San Andreas Multiplayer on crazybobs's cops and robbers server and I go back and forth between the games because they feel so different in terms of gameplay.
And mainly because crazybobs is fucking amazing.
Yeah, in a weird way, switching back and forth between GTA V and San Andreas makes sense because the two have become so different from each other. When you from IV to V or Vice City to SA, it's difficult because they're so similar that the differences fuck you up - but I think we've reached a point where it's now simply two almost completely different sets of game feel, which doesn't differentiate too much to when you switch between different open-world series now (i.e. GTA V to Saint's Row)
Great job PG! I loved this game, I have like 5 ps2 copies and all I ever did was invite friends and play coop mode and fuck around like you did
No mentioning of the Bigfoot myth, -1/10
[sp]Seriously though, really good work Kombat/PG.[/sp]
GTA Vice City best GTA
