SKYRIM
Eh, not too sure about this one, i'm sure Pixar know what they're doing, but I don't know, this just seems a bit to formulaic. Plus, at least they justified the Scottish accents in this one, whereas in HTTYD there were a bunch of Scottish Vikings for some reason.
Seems really Dreamworks-ish.

Reminds me of How To Train Your Dragon.
gay, nah, its cute. GOod to watch with your gf.

It isn't infeasible for there to have been Vikings with Scottish accents.
Gingers
Confused on what the story actually is.
After watching that trailer twice, I still have no idea what the story behind it is about.
I thought at first it was a parody of Skyrim, but it looks alright, wouldn't watch in cinema
I'm guessing its something to do with the Tribes fighting each other... Bah animation looks great as always from Pixar but this one doesn't have that mojo which the others had. Hopefully it will still be a great film.
When I heard that narration at the start I immediately thought of the Killer Rabbit. "HE'S GOT A VICIOUS STREAK A MILE WIDE"
It's always cool to see new stuff from Pixar.
Seems really Dreamworks-ish.
Would have had more physical humor and tackiness to the animation. Though this subject is quite cliché.
Dunno. Doesn't really have that typical Pixar feeling. I know I'm basing this on a trailer, but I have a feeling it'll turn out rather mediocre.
Pixar generally never make humans the main characters in their plots.
wow pixar is ruined for goods last good movie was cars 2 i thing
Gingers
my first thought.
Really reminded me of Shrek for some reason
I hate to say whether or not a movie's gonna be good just based on a trailer, but I must say the animation and scenery looks damn good.
Confused on what the story actually is.
Here:
"Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In Brave, a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts. Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late."
This movie rips off of skyrim.
So it's about a stroppy teenager that fights a bear.
As an animation student and a Scot I have mixed views on this. I think it looks stunning, and captures Scotland beautifully. The locations are all based on real places, including the standing stones. It's lovely to see them reimagined by Pixar, one of my all time idols. However, this doesn't really feel like a pixar film. It could just be because it's their first original film since Up, but it feels like it could be a Disney or Dreamworks production. There's a lot riding on this. After the disaster that was Cars 2, if this is poor it feels like the start of a downward spiral for Pixar. Personally, I think it's a poor trailer... but a lot of Pixar's trailers have been quite disappointing over the years. I think the finished piece will be very different from what is indicated, I hope to be pleasantly surprised.
If you piece together clips from a movie you can make it look like a completely different genre based on the trailer. So really, take it with a grain of salt.

I mean, when I saw the trailer to UP, I thought "What the hell is that?" and it's one of the most hearttouching stories ever. Same with Ratatouille. If anyone, give Pixar a chance.
It just doesn't seem to have a creative plot compared to their other movies.
