ok so, I've been recording songs at home for about maybe a year now, I started with Audacity moved to Reaper and now I'm using Ableton Live, I plan on moving to pro tools after I've gained a good amount of experience with recording in general. I have UX2 and I use Pod Farm for my guitar tones. EZdrummer for drums, and various other vst instruments and what-have-you. well basically I want you guys to tell me what you think of this mix I have going here. I really don't think that I have a good ear for mixing, and I know there are definitely a lot of things wrong on this track as far as mixing. the biggest problem I'm having is getting the rhythm guitars to be clearly heard without overpowering the lead. the rhythm guitars are panned hard to the left and right and the lead is in the middle.
