Walker finds a mutilated deer sparking fears that a big cat is roaming the Gloucestershire woods
A big cat – or cats – could be prowling around a beautiful wooded valley in Gloucestershire run by the National Trust, the charity has revealed.
Experts are carrying out DNA tests on the remains of a roe deer found at the trust's Woodchester Park, near Stroud.
A walker came upon the carcass and thought injuries to the deer's neck and the way the body had been consumed suggested it had been killed by a big predator.
There have long been whispers of big cats at large in Gloucestershire, but the fact the National Trust is taking this discovery seriously adds to the credibility of the stories
Big cats have been sighted all over the UK, but they are not some bullshit mythological monster story so these stories do carry some credibility. They can be traced back to the 60s, back when a person in Britain could keep any manner of exotic animals without anyone stopping them. In the 70s the government introduced laws which meant that people had to have a licence to keep what were considered to be dangerous animals meaning that many people were left with the choice to either hand their beloved cats over to a zoo or some sort of wildlife organisation, or have them destroyed. It is thought that many people couldn't bring themselves to do either and so chose to drive out into the middle of nowhere and release the animals into the wild where they are seemingly coping quite well.
Meow.
Bad pussy!
I remember when I was in school, we went for this big walk around the Roaches as part of a resendential trip.
The guide kept telling us about the panther that was supposed to live there, and said that if attacked, all we had to do was run faster than your friends.
Pretty scary when you're 11/12.
How come a deer gets more pussy than an average facepunch user?
Revenge of That Cat.
Cool. We have a lot of cougars and some jaguars in california.
Or at least we had jaguars.
They're gonna hound that loose pussy until it's in the pound.
Reminds me of a book I read a couple of years ago called "The Nature of the Beast". It was about some kid who has family issues (his mum's dead and shit) and there's some mysterious monster lurking around, killing the sheep. He goes out with an air rifle to find it and he eventually does, it turned out to be a panther released by a passing circus.

Skyrim is an awesome game and all, but it does not have to apply to everything.
Yeah, we have a couple up in this area. At least one is a puma or panther (And is seen to roam around 20 miles north of me near a coastal town - I've got a family member who had a close encounter with it). There is also one believed to be somewhere around my area, as we've had a spate of sheep mauled by what appears to be a big cat.
If it was found near Sanford, don't worry, it's all for the greater good.
Bigfoot.
Fuck fuck fuck my brother goes to a school in a valley near Stroud
Oh shit
I remember when someone reported seeing a big cat in Hampshire, next to a motorway. It turned out to be this, a toy tiger:

I would like to hunt a Big Cat in the U.K, though I never see that happening.
Augh... pad puns gave me a headache
I'm always a bit amazed when wildlife stories come from the UK, because all of the oh, so scary issues you guys have are kinda everyday things for rural Americans. It kind of baffles me the trouble people in the UK seem to have with animals that are, at the worst, an annoyance to us. By "big cats" I have no idea what the article means but a roe deer is pretty tiny. A "big cat" could just be a bobcat which, honestly, isn't very scary and they can take down our deer if they absolutely have to do so. Actually, this article pretty much describes a bobcat attack, because they'll get close, wait for the deer to be chill, sprint in, and go straight for the throat.
Oh deer
i was wondering where my cat is
