Man, I still remember that reveal, it was epic in all senses of the word. I don't know if there's ever going to be a reveal with that much hype behind it ever again. You can just feel the rush of excitement from that audience. It's like a rock concert times 10.
Nintendo fans have the best reactions ever
these were magical times
Seeing these makes me wonder how good the reaction will be for the next Zelda in 2016.
Nowhere near as good because we've all become jaded cynical assholes.
everyone is going to be careful of what to clap at because it might be interpreted as racist or sexist somehow by somebody
Seeing these makes me wonder how good the reaction will be for the next Zelda in 2016.
Well seeing as E3 requires you to be a journalist now, probably nowhere near as good.
i remember having this book i read for a class project about shigeru miyamoto had that famous picture of him from this event on the cover [t]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/519NFW3P6NL.jpg[/t] good times
This one was great too
Well seeing as E3 requires you to be a journalist now, probably nowhere near as good.
Kinda sad. I bet it would had been glorious. Especially since I went to a concert of Symphony of the Goddess Saturday and the fans were really loud and we ended up making 6-7 standing ovations. And it was just orchestrated music. I can imagine a game topping that 3 times if it was shown to the same amount of fans. And it's not the same since it will likely be revealed in a Direct. I'm still hyped for it.
This one was great too
People getting hyped at Riley must have been so damn disappointed though
such big words for the DS when the 3DS trumped it
People getting hyped at Riley must have been so damn disappointed though
Pretty sure it was because Samus hasn't been seen in a while, they cheer for Samus again on her character showcase thingy
From what i'ev seen so far and now 10 years from this history E3 is going to repeat it self with zelda game in it. [editline]1st June 2015[/editline]
Didn't they say they aren't showing Zelda at this E3?
Nintendo is the king of hype
No doubt Nintendo will win E3 this year again seeing the sorry state the est of the industry is in. Not saying Nintendo can't do anything wrong (naming their newest products and general decisions for online connectivity for example), but they definitely feel like the company with the most soul at the moment. I mean come on, how can you not love Shigeru Miyamoto?
This one was great too
I like how the guy in the background goes ape over every character shown "ice climbers?! YEAH" "ness NESS ness, ness!" "Kirb-eeee!" so much joy
Y'all need to step your game up. Now THIS was an E3 to remember.

I mean come on, how can you not love Shigeru Miyamoto?
honestly Nintendo seems to be the only company (at least the only AAA company) out there that has the most balance between a business of people who want to make money and people who want to make games. If there's one thing I can respect them for, it's that.
Retro Studios (Metroid Prime, DKC Returns) and Next Level Games (Punch-Out!! 2009 and Luigi's Mansion 2) have both apparently been working on big games for a while. Whatever they are, that's a reason for me to get hyped.

I was in like, 5th grade.
this one was also p big
Seeing these makes me wonder how good the reaction will be for the next Zelda in 2016.
Press conferences are not there anymore, with Nintendo doing long Directs. So big crowd reactions don't happen anymore when they announce new stuff.
Didn't they say they aren't showing Zelda at this E3?
Sadly, no. But that only means next year will be the more exiting.
That reveal makes me really emotional and I don't know why.
