At least 23 people have been killed in new bomb attacks in Iraq, a day after a wave of bombings across the country left at least 70 people dead. In Tuesday's bloodiest attack, a car bomb exploded near a Sunni mosque in the west of the capital, Baghdad, killing at least 10 people. The spate of bombings has marked the period as one of the most violent in Iraq in recent months. The attacks have been linked to growing political and sectarian tension. Also on Tuesday: Two car bombs hit the northern town of Tuz Khurmato A device went off in a cattle market in Kirkuk A suicide bomber struck in the town of Tarmiyah
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-22606848
That's actually really sad looking at the picture in the article. It looks like it's just another day to them.
The worst part about this is that no matter the amount of horrible things that happen to these people and many other third world countries, people around the world will still care more about celebrities and corgis. These people go through hell day and night, yet we all live in our fashionable lives strolling about and complaining over the unimportant and unnecessary things in life. It's quite eye opening to realize that all of your problems you have in your life are not even close to comparable to the people's problems in third world countries and danger zones.
That's EXACTLY what I was on about the other day. We don't care about people in the Middle East dying, do we? We just turn our heads away from it all. And only what, 4 people died in the Boston Bombings, and the whole world cries!
I don't think it's strange at all. We've grown acclimated to news of bombings in the middle east because the climate of extremist radicalization and poor security situation make bombings just about a daily occurrence there. It doesn't make them less horrible, just a lot less surprising.
Fresh bombing made me think of fresh prince of bel air

Fall into permanent state of depression and mourn each and every person who dies there? Seriously, there are definitely some issues that we should be concerned about, but this particularly is entirely out of our reach. I think that very last thing we should do is getting involved with eastern religious struggle. Then, that leads to false information and inferences when the subject is brought up. Asking someone to mourn over the death of many innocents in a world they don't live in is impossible, and I completely understand that. But the least we can do is acknowledge the problem and learn from it.

Because the Middle East have it much worse than the States. It was the surprise and disgust I experienced when they report absolutely EVERYTHING about something like that in the news, say, if it's here (UK) or the States, but "the Middle East? Nah, let's not report sod-all what's happening there. WE ONLY CARE ABOUT OURSELVES!" What I think anyway. I'm sure many others will think the same.
Because its daily life for them, not for Americans
its still fucking stupid, i don't see Australian media here do a one hour special on the bombings its a quick "oh and today Iraq blew up again lol anyway in the states.." I never understood why anyone gives a fuck about them, i couldn't care less tbh if a bomb blew up because i don't know any of the victims and while it is terrible, yes, it happens all the time elsewhere and the coverage is so minimal that the media is just saying to us "if our big allie gets hurt we have to stop everything for it" ridiculous, i hate the fucking media
