I don't know if this has been posted here before or not. It's informative and awesome.

I agree.
Russia has one of the most Complicated, Dramatic, Interesting History of the planet earth.
Long Live Russia. :ussr:
Can someone explain me the transition between the man standing in line and the other working in investments.
Is it a presentation of two point of view or is the second part the result of a certain event?
The video perfectly describes the History of Russia in the 19th to the 21th Century. Harsh, crazy, abrupt and sad at the end.
i thought it was pretty cool until 4:55, then it went downhill.

I dunno if it was just me, but I really liked the stock market part. And the Gorbachev part was great.
He says maybe they'd be better off if they brought down Gorbatjov, who was the last leader of the soviet union. Which I guess explains the transition into the moneymad stock broker.
Im from russia, im sorta ashamed about communism and the cold war an all.
Ah, don't be. Communism is a beautiful idea, to replace an opressive monarchy no less. It just had a few snags that's all.
Rated you heart for that. Not many people would be liable to say something like that.
But yeah. It was a wonderful and very well-put-together piece about Russia's troubled and violent history. I think I'll watch it again.
God damn this is catchy.
That was pretty cool.
Wow. That was great.

They were much more than a "few snags". What the fuck were you thinking when you wrote that?

I don't get it, why is his name spelled differently for us than for them?

The video had a detectable touch of conservative propaganda in there, but I can't deny that it was artistic.
That was amazing

Transliteration is a bitch.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with Communism.
People are simply assholes who like to corrupt and exploit everything.

I didn't see any. In fact, I think it bashes capitalism towards the end.
Mind pointing it out?

Therefore: Communism works in theory, but is brought down when it's put out in the real society = end of discussion.
Great film by the way.
Communism is the ultimate irony.
It's goal was to take down an oppressive government and create equality for all and throughout it's history it is only known for creating the worst of country leaders/dictators.
That was pretty cool.
I enjoyed this a lot. Makes me want to play Tetris again.
3:30 sounded a bit creepy :ohdear:
(It's where he goes "We-shall-live-forever-more")

The part that stuck out the most was when he said that everyone was the same. That really wasn't how it worked.
And just the sinister inflection the guy adds when he says "socialism" or "the left".
