before anyone calls animal abuse, let it be known that Boars fucking suck.
Yeah, that's SO much better than using a silly contraption like a shotgun.
Haha, holy shit.
before anyone calls animal abuse, let it be known that Boars fucking suck.
I can only assume boars think the same of you.:downs:
although i agree boars are an invasive and destructive species, this is some pretty sick behavior
although i agree boars are an invasive and destructive species, this is some pretty sick behavior
The disturbing thing about most boars, we're gonna assume the Arkansas razorback in this case, is the fact these fuckers can actually take several rounds and not be hurt at all. Maybe some bruising but their hide actually protects them.
This isn't hunting.

As overkill as it might seem, I approve of this. Boars are dicks.
Killing boars is all over the place on the spectrum of danger. If you get up close to them then it gets to be as frantic as this: but it's more effective to just shoot them from helicopters.
This isn't hunting.
No shit sherlock, it's pest control. They're not killing those shitlords for their meat or hide, they're killing them because they're an extremely invasive and destructive species. I ain't justifying the use of a machine gun to kill the fuckers but it's not like they're doing anything bad with it.

do boars taste good like pork
I can only assume boars think the same of you.:downs:
You should never assume things.

Animals in distress are :(. Gotta admit that is one though motherfucker tho. It took 4 hits before it started screaming and 2 more before it actually died. Jesus christ.
I ain't justifying the use of a machine gun to kill the fuckers but it's not like they're doing anything bad with it.
What's wrong with using a machine gun? Trying to play mind games with yourself so that you don't feel as guilty is kind of pointless. Dead is dead, no matter how you kill them, and there's nothing 'fair' about shooting them with semiautomatic rifles from helicopters either. If you're not prepared to deal with that then you probably shouldn't be shooting down families of hogs in the first place. The ethics of the matter are kind of out the window when it comes to pest control, as long as it doesn't damage the rest of the environment. Things are different for more traditional hunting of well managed species, of course. Besides, the guys who go up with the select fire weapons in all those helihunter videos seem to do a lot worse than the guys with regular AR-15s and Saigas.
I wish hunting games had decent models and animations and played like that looked, because I'd totally buy them then.
Regular hunting isn't a damned thing like that, boars are just tough aggressive fuckers who really want to gore your testicles. I think some of the Dangerous Hunts games can get pretty goofy though.
do boars taste good like pork
It's pretty good. I've had it a few times.
If you don't support this you're anti-American.
How many patents and licenses does it take to do that? And how many of them will be revoked if the ones responsible see the video? :v:
It's got nothing to do with ethics, guilt, or morality. Theres a line you cross during pest control and using a god damn M134 pole-vaults over that line. At that point it's not longer about hunting or pest control, you're doing it for the fun of killing things, not because you're concerned about a boar getting in with the sows and making a few bastards. It's like napalming your entire neighborhood because you saw a daddy-long-leg in your garage. I can understand using an M-16 or an AKM to hunt hogs for the hunters safety, but using a mounted M134 is just ridiculous. If you're fine with that, you might as well just whip out the BOFORs and lay out a few acres of forest.

"Black hog down" That's one clever title.

They're dying. Come to terms with that or don't do it at all. There's no line because the end is the same. Using explosives/an autocannon (I think you're dramatically overestimating the capabilities and underestimating the controlability of a minigun) would damage the rest of the environment for every other species though, that's a different story. Though, I'd go as far as to say that an M134 on a door gun mount with a trained and professional operator (who actually aims the thing unlike in the video) would be a lot more efficient, cleaner, and ethical than an AR-15 in the first place. Watch the video I posted earlier and see how many follow up shots are needed to kill the things, then imagine how many jacked up tourists shooting .223 out the side of a moving helicopter have time to make those follow up shots. A lot of those boars probably have to bleed out in the fields for a good few minutes. Quick bursts of 7.62 would put the boars down much faster.

Fuck those creatures, added bonus of pest control and willboar meat.
What the hell is wrong with using something that kills them faster than if you don't hit them correctly with a hunting rifle? If they are to die, getting blown away by a minigun is one of the more humane ways to do it, in my opinion.
I find the video distasteful, but then I find hunting generally distasteful. That being said, I can't imagine that using a minigun is any more inhumane than using a boar spear. [editline]15th March 2014[/editline] But then again, it's kinda hard to make an environmental case for hunting with a minigun when you're littering hundreds of bullet shells everywhere.

Boar population are often inflated. If that's the case it's just a matter of morals.
I really wish people would stop using distasteful as if it isn't an entirely superficial and entirely nonobjective criticism. FFS it's an extremely pretentious way of saying "this bothers me, care about it."
No, it's an extremely short way of saying "this bothers me, care about it." [editline]15th March 2014[/editline] And for that matter, who the fuck said anything about objectivity? I criticized the video on a purely aesthetic basis. If you don't like my tastes, fuck off.
