So fellow AAA brothers,
For most of us on the western hemisphere Spring is slowly approaching while salt and other shit on the road have sent your paint on a dreadful endeavor throughout winter.
So how do you make your car ready for picking up some chicks and then some?
Personally, lacking a yard of sorts where i could wash my car, i drive to one of these:

I personally hate those automatic car wash things for whatever reason, i rather do that myself.
After that, one or two times a year i take out my polishing machine and i polish the fuck out of that bitch with my German High Quality Blue Nano Polish OMGWTF 2.0 until matte Volvo turns into shiny Volvo.

Also Jemako Lemon Balsam for my wheels.
So um yeah hope you like my pathetic attempt at getting activity into this forum. you can contribute and shit now.
I usually just hose off my car. I live on a gravel road so putting effort/money into cleaning it really well would be wasted in about 2 days.

this
gravel driveway but no car
i prob wont clean it like ever other than when it rains and self rinses
I rarely clean my car, I've probably cleaned it about 4 times in 2 years.
However, I clean and tidy the inside fairly often maybe every couple of months.
I clean my car once or twice a month, I like having a clean car and I like cleaning it :v:
in the summer that is
but I don't do anything fancy, just garden hose and a sponge, bucket, water and general car soap
I hate cleaning my car.
I might take it to the garage round the corner and have some Poles do it for me.

Yep. During winter I just hose the body down and get underneath to clean the salt off.
Since I've been too cheap to invest in a machine Polisher, I've been trying different hand products. Spring Routine is still the same. Wash, Claybar, 3 coats of polish and 3 coats of wax.But Paint is looking Shabby this year. Gonna have to get a PC 7424XP now and do a full Cut/Finish/Glaze/Seal. http://www.detailedimage.com/ Good site for Detailing products.

I hope you realize that polish isn't a "coat" but instead takes a small layer off your clear coat or paint. You really only need to give it one good polish to remove any scratches and swirls.
Well a True "Polish" yes. but These hand applied "Polishes" that shouldnt be called polish, are just Filler. Like I've been using Autoglym Super Resin polish. Its just REsin based filler that hides The scratches/Swirls for 3-5 weeks. lol. But mines getting to the point now (at 70,000km) that It needs to be done properly.
I generally wash my car every two weeks and wax it probably three times a year
I park it in a garage, so it doesn't get dirty that much
In the winter, I wash my car every couple of weeks at the local automatic car wash because I'm lazy like that. In the summer, I break out the wax and soap and clean it in my driveway.
psh, clean car? i drive a 240, most are rattlecanned so any remnant of a clearcoat means my car is minty fresh
Anyone used Ice wax?
I use it on my X5 every month and it keeps it spiffy clean. I haven't done much lately, as it's been raining (lol no snow in texas).
i rinse it about once a week, machine wash about once a month, hand wash/full detail every 2-3months
i use mothers stuff
[editline]12th January 2011[/editline]
and by that I mean generic caranuba cleaner wax not 50$ web2.0 wax or whatever it is everyone uses
When I do wash my car I just use some Mer.
use salt water and a sponge to rub it in :smug:
i machine polish mine every 3 months or so, then top up with wax every week. been shitting it down all the time though so it's a bit neglected.
