Most A-level grade predictions made by teachers are incorrect when the final results are published, according to data revealed by an exam body.
Predicted grades are an important part of the university application process.
Only 48% of predicted grades were correct for pupils taking the OCR exam board's A-levels in summer 2012, in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Almost one in 10 of the wrong forecasts, more than 15,000 entries, were incorrect by more than one grade.
Predicted E in maths cuz all I did was fuck about as it was so boring, came out with a B.
Unsurprising. Either students really haul ass for the final stretch and end up with As/Bs when predicted lower, or they get complicit from their prediction and end up with a worse grade (me).
Predicted a D for Soce back in year 10 because I left the class and never came back after the first term due to the teacher being complete bitch.
Ended up with a B.
i'm predicted for like a C or B in psychology does this mean i'll get a higher grade or a lower grade

depends how retarded you are.
They are what they are: Predictions. When the BBC can predict the weather for the next day correctly, only then can they criticise teachers for not being able to predict a grade for 9 months in advance.
Predicted Ds and Es, ended up with AAB at the end of the first year and AAC at the end of the second. It seems they get quite a lot of these grades wrong, we were always told they were just for administrative purposes (so the college can claim they improve people by X grades)
Well I'm predicted AAA so I hope it doesn't go the other way

this makes me feel a little more happy about my maths
Im working at the same grade as you and they said that all I can achieve is an c
and it isnt even my fault as to why im so low, its because my school has never had a consistent teacher in the maths department except from 2 who always teach the higher classes.
I got predicted a C in Electronics, B in Computing and a B in Maths.
However, I ended up with an A in electronics, and a D in maths and computing.
(Still got into Uni on a course that required BBB, so really the entire system is somewhat silly)
I got predicted an E - D in everything for 5 years because I didnt work hard when I was a kid, it never changed even though I started doing well in school
Before someone yells at me like they do every SH post I make i'm from the UK
The exam system is pretty awful in this country, it's about as accurate as Metacritic in determining someone's ability.
I'm predicted A/A* in my literature A2 results but I got a C at AS. Almost 100% in the coursework, but I got a U in the exam and so did everyone else in my class.

This. I feel like I should just accept the fact that I flunked hardcore, but when I can get literally everything correct in exam conditions while in class; and get straight Us when it comes to the exams, something's wrong.
Sure, maybe I'm retarded, but my performance in class should at least suggest that.
