Uncanny box office bomb. Sometimes you wonder what disney executives were thinking.
That dude looks like a Jeff gerstmann who let himself go.
Hmm... MrEnter leaves me a bad taste in my mouth.
He sometimes insults the writers and there was one video where he was reviewing "Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Comedy" and he was screaming angrily at the Screaming Scotsman part.
The way this movie looks literally makes me nauseous.

looks like it was produced mostly by the company that does the mocap and disney helped fund it as a parent company (hah) instead of have a hand in production.
The way things go it was likely a deal made to gain the mocap resources and knowledge for their own needs after the fact
[editline]e[/editline]
he makes a point in the second video, it feels like there were good ideas but the execution was just terrible, could have been a good enough pitch to convince disney to get onboard
Wait this was a real movie? Thought it was a fever dream I had.
I normally enjoy seeing people rip into bad movies, but this Youtuber really doesn't do it for me. He's just constantly shouting about even small details, which is particularly hard to listen to when he's nitpicking points that aren't even all that out there (e.g. Martians not being able to breathe air on their own planet could be justified by the fact that mars used to have a thicker atmosphere but it was stripped away).
MrEnter is worse than the things he reviews. I remember in one video of his he started having a conversation with his own dark and edgy alter ego about how good it felt to hate whatever it was he was talking about.
MrEnter doesn't critique so much as he does just complain.
It gets very tiring very quickly.

He also sicced his fans on Casey Alexander (former Spongebob writer) on Twitter and a guy called Shota (no relation to that fandom btw) on TV Tropes.
Guy has a huge ego and is overall a total cunt: rather not support him by watching his videos, which are already extremely dubious in quality to begin with.

There's a fine line between critique and just ranting, and a critic critiques while he just rants.
I prefer RebelTaxi, since he's usually a lot calmer about reviews.

Plus Pan Pizza and his friends make fun of Mr. Enter here and there on his podcast.
The only thing I remember about this movie was that alien's butt.
Starts off video saying motion capture has no place in animation. :s:
I bet Mr. Enter dosen't even know how to animate a cartoon
I bet Mr. Enter dosen't even know how to animate a cartoon
He doesn't. That's why he's trying to make his own cartoon based on a failed pilot. :v:
Edit: It's simply about reversing the roles of kids and adults, that's it. He's playing it straight up with no real comedy or a twist, it's just a world where kids are adults, and adults are kids.

he also wrote a book set in the same universe
i haven't read it but it's apparently awful
I'm surprised that universe has nothing to do with his evil alter ego that he has conversations with in his videos.
His thoughts on mo-cap:
It takes more effort and more money, than simply designing a character from the ground up
SIMPLY designing and animating a character from the ground up?

He just has that voice where it sounds like he's bitching without hope of rest, even when he speaks highly of something.
His more positive works are better, but I'm not lying when Doug Walker's and Rebel Taxie's editorials are 100x better than even that. They also don't sound as dreary like Mr. Enter speaks. I know that apparently he has dreadful moodswings, but it doesn't change that I feel like slitting my wrists when he talks in a AA video.
I do agree his voice is grating, but I enjoy the fact he is hating stuff that I also hate; providing highly detailed reasons in why to hate them.

i want to slit my wrists just looking at his thumbnails.
I honest to god can't fucking get over whatever video it was where he started having a conversation with that dumbass edgy alter ego, like jesus christ the dude is what, in his late 20s/30s? should have some self awareness about how awkward and edgy and stupid shit like that comes across as - especially when it involves you talking about how great it is to hate shit or w/e.
Isn't this guy actually somewhere on the spectrum, I feel like I heard something about that
not that it excuses his behaviour but it explains some of it
My biggest problem with the dude is that he is just
too
fucking
loud
he's constantly yelling and being pissed off about everything with almost no breaks, yet his mic is fucking terrible for it. So constantly, he raises his voice and it genuinely makes me duck my head a bit because it's that unpleasant to listen to.
Also he goes on all these rants for no real reason. He can't just state a flaw, he has to deliver it with a voice so loud and so upset it's like he's been deeply offended at everything.
Even the AVGN wouldn't do that. The AVGN yells all the time, but most of each review will be delivered in a calm, informative manner, or, he will at most slightly raise his voice. Imagine if the AVGN yelled 100 percent of his video's runtime, acted like he has been greatly offended at every single minor flaw, and also his mic couldn't handle his yelling so it hurt your fucking ears.
Bam, you've got Mr. Enter

some of the funniest bits from AVGN is the calm before the storm
the moments where you know shit is about to go down, and you're just anticipating it

I think the Nerd understands that the screaming and yelling is only funny once in a while or as a buildup like the post above said. When you do it constantly it's just annoying.
you can click on any point in a video of his and chances are he will be talking in the exact same, overly loud, "i am offended" tone of voice
Another problem with the AVGN and Nostalgia Critic comparisons: their videos are almost entirely satire, with it being a rather uncommon occurrence for James or Doug to step away from their personas for a little while and actually give their (might I add: actually fair) opinions on the things they're "reviewing".
Enter is constantly "in-character" while treating the caustic critic trope to be 100% serious unlike his predecessors, which comes off as rather unnerving in a few ways. Besides that, his attempts to be funny by making quick irrelevant quips that came straight from an 7th grade level classroom aren't really doing him any favors at all.
