Now i recently watched a movie called Moon and all i can say is... Mind blown.

So Moon is an independent film by a Director named Duncan Jones. Basically the world is now run on a power source called helium 3 (He3) which is harvested from the sun, in the moon. Sam Bell is on a 3 year contract alone on the moon, sending back canisters of He3. He has no contact with the world on earth, he only gets recorded transmissions and his only companion is a robot named GERTY (Which is voiced by Kevin Spacey (Lex Luthor, 21 Teacher))
here is a better plot summary -
Sam Bell has a three year contract to work for Lunar Industries. For the contract's entire duration, he is the sole employee based at their lunar station. His primary job responsibility is to harvest and periodically rocket back to Earth supplies of helium-3, the current clean and abundant fuel used on Earth. There is no direct communication link available between the lunar station and Earth, so his only direct real-time interaction is with GERTY, the intelligent computer whose function is to attend to his day to day needs. With such little human contact and all of it indirect, he feels that three years is far too long to be so isolated; he knows he is beginning to hallucinate as the end of his three years approaches. All he wants is to return to Earth to be with his wife Tess and their infant daughter Eve, who was born just prior to his leaving for this job. With two weeks to go, he gets into an accident at one of the mechanical harvesters and is rendered unconscious. Injured, he awakens back at the station in the infirmary, he assumes assisted by GERTY. GERTY tells him that a rescue team named Eliza will come to the station to clean up the aftermath of the accident. After his recuperation, he takes an unauthorized trip back to the broken harvester, where he makes an unexpected discovery. Because of his find, he begins to doubt his sanity, then his true identity, then the company and GERTY's willingness to do what is best for him.
Now whats amazing is, there are only about 8 actors throughout the ENTIRE film. Its a movie which plays tricks on your mind and makes you think. The scenery is beautiful, this is probably the film which has presented the moon and earth in all its beauty. The colours and everything.

I was going to go to the cinemas and watch this today but got sidetracked.
Sounds really cool. I'll try to go watch it.
Maybe I'll watch this movie right now, because the trailer looked interesting.
Hope it is released in the UK!
Looks like the sort of movie I'd like, thanks for bringing it to my attention!
The fact that is directed by the son of David Bowie was reason enough for me to watch this at first, and that it looked cool.
I heard about this a while ago. Looks interesting. I'll have to check if it's in any of the cinemas near me.
Looks really good. I assume it's not a nation-wide release, though...
I hope this gets on DVD fast so I can watch it, I highly doubt this will run in Swedish theatres.

Fuck, it doesn't seem to be playing in any theater in my area.
Friend of mine was spamming me on Steam this morning on how awesome this movie was. Might actually go and watch it now.
He did say to not watch the trailer since it gives away a lot of stuff.

He goes crazy and shit could mean many things. IE he has a mental breakdown. Doesn't necessarily refer to hallucinations.

Sam Rockwell is the MANNNNNNNNNNN!
I saw it. I found it too slow and fell asleep during it, and I usually enjoy sci-fi movies.

Spoiler. Do not read this message. I'm quite serious. Don't even get tempted.
[sp]He is cloned every 3 years and relives the work cycle over and over again with false memories implanted into the new clone and he finally realized he is being manipulated by the company that has bred him, and he returns to Earth. [/sp]
^ at above reader
why would you even put that there? i don't get it.
Mostly for shits and giggles. To see how many people read it and spoil the movie for themselves because they couldn't resist the impulse.
