Dramatic footage has emerged of a brave cat saving a young child from a vicious dog attack, and now everyone who's ever argued that cats aren't distant, selfish, clawing, heartless robot pets is having an I-told-you-so morning.
The video is pretty epic, and a convincing argument for the virtuous nature of feline friends. (And don't even get started on the evil dog that cruelly stalked a small child and tried to make a meal out of him.)
Wow
Cats are great
Shit on me if you want but cats rule over dogs.
No need for discussion or counter arguments thank you very much.
KITTY!!
Holy fuck that bite wound.
What caused the dog to attack in the first place?

Seems like the boy flicked his arm at the dogs face ..., it's obviously not his fault, he was surprised.

According to the article the dog had anger issues so they had to put him to sleep. I couldn't see any collar on the dog so my guess is that he was just hungry.
Is it just me or, when the cat appear, there's a sonic boom on the right hand side of the screen? :v:
Good thing they put that sick piece of shit of a dog down.
You can say what you want about mishandled and abused dogs, this was completely unprovoked and outright insidious.
Holy shit talking about bro cats, "YOU AINT BITTING THAT KID IN MY NEIGHBOORD DOG"

Kid doesn't even move his arm until the dog attacks
I love how the cat watches the dog run off. "Yeah, that's right! Get the fuck out of here!"
Kid doesn't even move his arm until the dog attacks
If you look closely, you can see that the dog was just curious at first, he was slowly walking towards the boy, then we he came close the kid made a sudden move, which triggered the dog.
it's obviously not a normal behavior, but the dog didn't just come to the kid and started pulling him away.
Can't we just like whatever the fuck animal we like instead of getting into these endless cat vs dog arguments?

I'm sorry but I just watched the video 5 times from 0:23 to 0:27 and I still don't see this "sudden movement". Care to explain where you see it?
edit:
Nope still dont see it. I must be blind or something.

Just the fact that he did in fact pull him away is more than enough to put him down though.

I don't disagree with that, the dog didn't really have any owners.
could have given it to an animal shelter tho

I'm seeing nothing, at that point the dog has already started going for his leg.

Are you seriously trying to argue that because an everyday little boy doesn't know how to handle dogs and should have expected this dog to be a violent little shit when provoked, he was asking for it, despite the fact it that shouldn't even be out free roaming if capable of this level of violence?
Pause at 0:26:25
It was an unprovoked attack by a violent dog.

Sorry to say but most people here will agree that the kid was just on his tricicle. He has yet to even notice the dog. The dog then sees him, starts running towards him and chomps his leg. We dont really see this sudden move. Go ahead and show us an image of it otherwise these arguments will go on.

Why are you so sure this is friendly curiosity? Because IMO that's bull. The kid isn't even looking at the dog until he sees him, he's idle, and then the dog goes for his leg.

Look at his arm, just before the dog grabs it, he flicks it and turns to the dog.
Also wtf?, I'm not saying that the kid is at fault here, I'm just saying that the dog didn't come to the kid with the intention of grabbing his leg.
I volunteered at an animal shelter, so I know how violent dogs react, it works by triggers.
That cat's collar should have bad mother fucker stitched into it.
It just bolted straight at that dog with a pounce.
Another reason i love cats

Just because you worked at an animal shelter doesn't mean you're an expert on how dogs think or behave.
