Literally just recieved an email saying I don't have the right to use the word "bitch" from some bitch.
Here's the GamerGhazi thread he's talking about: http://np.reddit.com/r/GamerGhazi/comments/31ifha/fan_asks_popular_youtuber_nerdcubed_to_stop_using/
I can't believe some motherfucking cunts can be such bitches about this kind of fucking shit. It's completely retarded. Those cocksucking tits should just piss off.
did we just stop using the word prostitute today? i heard it used a couple times yesterday
jesus christ that email hahaha
That e-mail reads like a studio exec wrote it.
"Inherently gendered and misogynistic"
Language changes all the time. Get over it.
this is even more weid to foreigners learning english, I grew up with people calling idiots retards all of the time and I never even made the connection to being somehow sick/disabled/whatever.
I dont think i can takes the arguments of people who have Reddit titles like "social justice werewolf" and "Valedictorian at the University of Anti-Ethics" seriously. They also seem to spam ban people who dont agree with their hivemind.

This, I used to call people faggots for like 3 or 4 years before I learned what the english definition of that word was.
I swear, the 2010's will be known as the decade when people where huge fucking balls.
This, I used to call people faggots for like 3 or 4 years before I learned what the english definition of that word was.
Same here but with the word bitch. It makes no sense to call people female dogs.
i've been saying the same thing for like a year now, everyone just WANTS to be offended by something all the fucking time
How does it feel being so weak that mere words hurt you?
ugh, people acting offended for other people is fucking patronising
It's like when patrick klepek said he "got gypped" in a video and someone got all offended because of the word's origins, then he apologised profusely because he's a little bitch.
He should have made a response critiquing the email's use of the words "Hey" "The" and "And"
The Problem with the whole social justice and political correctness obsession that is going on right now is that people try really hard to be fanatically, fundamentally progressive. But guess what, Progression doesn't work that way. You cannot actively enforce the values of tomorrow's society today, as YOU figure society should evolve. For all we know, society as a whole might as well do a complete 180 and become backwards blackface level offensive. Values change, but not according to the direction of a small group that wills it so. Tomorrow's progress just doesn't exist today and just because some people figure things SHOULD head in a certain direction, doesn't mean THE ENTIRE REST OF PEOPLE share that opinion. I generally agree, that kindness, respect and the consideration of the feelings of others are values worth pursuing, but people are just cherry picking words, groups, issues that they try to change with such extreme vigilance that all they can hope to achieve is alienating everyone else before fading into obscurity. This is not how progress works.
And that's not regarding the fact, that considering the feelings of EVERYONE WHO MIGHT EVER BE OFFENDED is so short sighted that I'm puzzled that those people can't even smell the incredible amount of bullshit they carry in front of them. You can't say anything interesting, stimulating or colourful without offending SOMEONE. Here in Germany a few old people in grey suits that work in big grey buildings think violence is offensive in media, so we spent an insane amount of effort on banning every violent video game ever, cutting minutes worth of footage from action movies and infamously replacing people with robots or aliens. Everyone else kind of fucking hates this. You can NEVER hope to fix things by adressing the minor interests of EVERY small group instead of going with the majority. Its not for social rules or even laws to protect those issues of people feeling offended. It's everyone's personal responsibility. It's NOT everyones responsibility to remind everyone ELSE of their responsibility. People should just listen to each other on a personal level and make sensible choices. I know people who have actual, serious traumata and I feel it is my responsibility to not expose them to content they find upsetting or even cause flashbacks. That's it, problem solved! I have a few phobias of my own and I appreciate people watching out for that, but I do in no way EXPECT anyone to change their behavior. It is also in my own responsibility to watch out for myself. For example, I have an extreme fear of being sick. Watching people being sick is unbearable to me and I am constantly, overly aware of people showing signs of discomfort or illness. I don't leave the house when I hear a stomach virus is going around, but that is my OWN PERSONAL PROBLEM. When it becomes an issue, people are drinking or I'm about to watch a movie, I take precautions such as asking if there are going to be any scenes that I would find upsetting or I just tell people to give me a heads up if they are feeling sick so I can bail. That Is it. A little bit of common sense and some mutual respect. There is no need for some self-proclaimed social activist to barge in and demand to censor everything I or someone with similar problems might find upsetting. Just use your fucking heads and be a LITTLE considerate of others, that's all we need to do, nothing more, not write angry mails at game designers and youtubers

well hey that seems a fair enough thing to want to apologize for, i mean it's not a big deal but at least he wanted to, that's just being nice. you can say what you want about the word bitch and what it means but at the end of the day it's not worth writing in about, but it's also not really worth freakin out over in general, whether you're upset with nerdcubed or if if you think this email heralds the SJW New World Order or wherever you may happen to fall on this RIVETINGLY NUANCED debate

Clicking that link makes people feel special without putting in any actual effort or doing anything good. "I'm offended by your lack of standards, look at my moral high ground and how progressive I am" is all they need to feel special. Little effort for high imaginary return.
How would people from 1990s react if you told them "In 2015 most Anarchists will be conservative and the most easily offended people will be liberals"
I love how everyone is falling hook, line and sinker for this obvious troll bait.
why yes, that email is definitely real and written by a feminist.
or should I say feminazi am I right guys
I love how everyone is falling hook, line and sinker for this obvious troll bait.
It's probably genuinely troll bait, but there are people out there who seriously think like this, and it really does need to be said to them to just fuck off in general.

Yes it's very important that some nerd makes a 9 minute video about a stupid email (that's probably bait) he received so people on Facepunch can jerk it to the fourth "political correctness run amok" thread this hour.

People don't try to be progressive they try to be relevant and when you have no skills or passion whatsoever this is the thing to do.
Being offended.

Someone tried to do that to me when I said gypped on Facepunch :v:
