Not a definitive "will" like you could say for Nashville.

One thing to make jacksonville slightly less shitty

Jacksonville would be an interesting test case because of how large the city is. It spans 874.6 square miles (2,265 km2) and the largest city on the main part of the US. Trying to get a city that big to work perfectly with Google Fiber would be a good challenge for the Google team.

Comcast is so fucked they were offering 2 gigs a month for a 1k install and then 300 a month here in Jacksonville. The city would be extremely stupid to not allow this.

If so From what I've read for other cities its 300 dollars to install it OR you can get a 1 year commitment and have that waived.

Great news, I've been trying to find another service besides Comcast for a very long time. I've always been just over a mile outside of Bellsouth's coverage range so Comcast has always been a necessary evil. If paying a little more means I get better speeds & hopefully way better customer service, I'm in.

fiber would literally be a godsend, since my current internet speeds are around 200-250 kb/s.

This'll be great for when I eventually do get myself a place of my own. Or maybe I could somehow find a way to balance Fiber for the net and Comcast for other stuff.
