A-Are we okay to post TLJ videos again? :boxhide: I haven't seem a HISHE video in forever and this one was hilarious.

but like, minus the obvious exaggerated funny bits, this was actually better...

Having a fucking meme character like Ackbar do the lightspeed kamakazi would not have been better. I can at least understand the arguments for Leia being in that role, but this is one of these terrible Star Wars nerd suggestions that would have been awful in execution. Because why should we give two shits about the fish-faced alien whose only notable moment is saying "It's a Trap?"
Also, Luke being Goku levels of overpowered is one of the reasons the old EU so ridiculous. The fact that Kylo Ren was able to force-hold a single laser blast from a handheld pistol does not indicate that Luke would have been able to stop the laser canons from 500 foot tall superwalkers. The ending we actually got was much better, because it required a more creative solution than the Dragon Ball Z final battle certain fans apparently wanted.

For some reason I was hoping we'd get an ending that was presented in HISHE, but for what we got was much better. It felt more grounded, and I could really see [sp]Luke giving the Resistance hope for a new day and angering Kylo Ren in the form of a powerful projection.[/sp] You saying that nerd suggestions lead to awful executions has a bit of truth; just because it sounds amazing in a fan's head, it doesn't mean it can translate well somewhere else.
And by the ending I mean everything past [sp]Rose's...questionable actions.[/sp]

[sp]It couldn't be Ackbar, but not for those reasons. He's a character the audience knows, and he's kind of beloved, the plot required we be distrustful of the new commander and we would by default trust Ackbar. I'm saying that and I didn't even like the direction they went in with Holdo, I understood the theme they were trying to push but I thought the actual execution of it was in it's literal sense just bad. I mean Holdo's plan was even riskier than Poe's and the two plans weren't mutually exclusive.[/sp]
TLJ was fine. Whatever. This version has way too much fan service.

He's a popular character. There's action figures, lore, comics, everything. [sp]No one even noticed he died in Jedi until it's mentioned later in the movie by word even though the scene was in the movie[/sp] It's shit how they treated a character that's that big with fans

congratulations you have described literally anyone who has appeared onscreen in star wars, EVER.
Remember the classic character Elan Sleazebaggano?
You know, "Wanna buy some deathsticks?".

his legends story
Elan stole the University of Coruscant's medical supplies and sold them to the gangster Hat Lo. He became a slythmonger, and specialized in death sticks, selling to anyone who would buy. He eventually became addicted to his own product, although his Balosar physiology protected him from the drug's harsher side effects.
In 22 BBY, he offered to sell Rancor nail blades to Jango Fett, and attempted to sell death sticks to Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi two nights later. After being mind tricked by Kenobi in the Outlander Club, he went home and completely rethought his life. He managed to break his death stick addiction and swore off the slythmonger business, but soon enough slipped back into his old criminal ways, becoming involved in the trade of other, non-chemical illegalities, such as weapons and stolen goods. However, he still sold "the finest deathsticks in the galaxy, one hundred percent pure". Nearly three years after his encounter with Kenobi, Elan helped Boba Fett during an adventure on Coruscant, in which he ferried Boba around the city (all the while trying to sell Boba various illegal wares) and provided him with a saberdart, which Boba Fett used in his failed assassination attempt against Mace Windu.
After the end of the Clone Wars, Sel'Sabagno had once more changed his ways, and was seeking to turn others from the path of illicit drug use. While handing out pamphlets in the lower levels, he bumped into fugitive Jedi Drake Lo'gaan and Zonder, and was knocked aside by a clone trooper who was pursuing the pair. After this encounter, he once more reflected that he needed to rethink his life.
Repeat this ad nasuem for anything to appear on-screen in a Star Wars film, ever. That's an awful metric for if a character is actually popular because every character has an action figure, lore, comics.

Hence the first line: He's a popular character.
