I loved this film as a kid. Rewatched it recently and still think it's a pretty good movie.
Nope, nope, nothing can convince me that Mike Myers in nightmare inducing cat in the hat makeup is anything other than an abomination. Also, let us not forget that this film is the reason Dr. Seuss's widow put her foot down and said to stop making live action versions of her deceased husband's books.
now i finally feel safe in my opinion that this was an alright movie
I like this film. I had fun with it and I loved the live action Grinch movie as well. Even if you don't like it as a film, you still have to appreciate how fantastic the art design was.
I don't care what anyone says, this movie is legendary. It's like barely even a kids movie, and I don't even know how they got some of the jokes in it past censors/the execs.

The Grinch with Jim Carrey demolishes The Cat in the Hat in every way shape and form.

I don't think I've seen this movie more than once, when I was much younger. Bloody hell this vid had me chortling. "I'll make it look like an accident!" This really isn't the sort of movie you should approach expecting a, well, modern-day movie.

And in their place we got boring, pop culture laden, soulless Illumination adaptations.
