Are they a major chain? I'm from the UK so we don't have those here.
Honestly I'm in the US and haven't even heard of Game Crazy.
It's Hollywood Video's game store. Every single HV I've been to has had one. Kind of sucks. Would go to my local one a few times when Gamestop wanted to gouge my game's trade-in worth.
It doesn't really bother me because all of their movies and games were expensive as shit unless you were renting them.
Game crazy always gave me a metric fuckton for trade-ins. I remember one time I got $40 for a game that had been out for a month.
Movie Gallery rentals are fucking HIGH. pffft.
Never heard of them. In the US at least.
Movie Gallery rentals are fucking HIGH. pffft.
Actually the company will most likely be dropping the rental price down to 3 dollars for 3 days.
Game Crazy > GameStop
God damn it, this makes me mad. Game Crazy is pretty much GameStop, but generally the Game Crazies (Is that how you'd spell it?) I've been to had better service and weren't nearly as naggy. This fucking sucks. I use them specifically to avoid GameStop and their bullshit, and now if the ONE Game Crazy left within 20 miles of my house gets shut down I'll have no choice. GameStop will be the last game store chain in my area (and there's a fuck ton of them, too). Sigh. The times, they are a-changin'. :frown:
too bad the Game Crazy employees here are fucking idiots who know nothing about games.
too bad the Game Crazy employees here are fucking idiots who know nothing about games.
It's still better than going to a GameStop where the employees are also fucking idiots, but fucking idiots that push 50 million items on you when you go to check out.
Thats why I don't buy games at stores, then I don't have to deal with idiots.
It's still better than going to a GameStop where the employees are also fucking idiots, but fucking idiots that push 50 million items on you when you go to check out.
This. Fucking THIS. And they always use underhanded tactics to rope you into pre-ordering ____ new game, like giving the bullshit about how IT'LL ALL BE SOLD OUT WHEN IT COMES OUT YOU HAVE TO PRE-ORDER NOW WE'RE THE ONLY PLACE! The very worst is when I bother to check GameStop after a game's come out and they give me a guilt trip about how I should've pre-ordered it. Shut the fuck up and just tell me if you have the game or not. I never got that shit at Game Crazy. On top of that, Game Crazy sells older used games longer than GameStop does and their trade-in deals are way fucking better.
I've never heard of any of those stores.
But wat about my trade in credits?!?!11?!
EB games here isn't that bad. They don't try to push shit on you since preorders don't give you shit.
I went to apply for a job at a Game Crazy a while ago, the shelves were empty and there was like 3 gameboy games left. Needless to say, I was pissed.
True story about game crazy My cousin's and I walked from his house to the game crazy like 2 or 3 miles away to get a PS2 controller, because we didn't have any but we had a ps2 (we needed to play GTA really bad, I brought my ps2 but forgot controllers save for Guitar Hero ones). We bought a controller went back home, it didn't work We walked back to return it, got a new one, went back home, that one didn't work either. Then my cousin drove his mom's car (she wasn't home at the time, but she was by then) and went and bought a PS2 controller he had traded in previously and that worked. I'll miss them.
