Didn't seem like the cat soothed the baby at all.
Cats somehow often forget about their paws and where they lay them off, I see that alot in other videos where they just lay the paw right into another kittens face and act like "whats up"

Yeah, when I pick my cat up and she finds it patronizing, she'll put her paw on my face like that.
