If Libya so much as threw a rock at Italy the entire of NATO would be within their rights to mount a full ground invasion of Libya. Anyway, didn't Gaddafi declare war on Switzerland a few years ago. (I wonder if this statement was made before or after the death of Osama was announced, if it was after I am sure someone is seeing it as him being an attention seeker)

To be fair, let them invade Italy, and then we can get this over with on our own terms.

It's kind of understandable that he'd want to get back at the country that killed his son to be honest.

As insane he is, I wouldn't be surprised that the moment Ghadaffi gets really locked in he'd decide to use his last resources to launch a small assault on Italy of some sorts, just to be the militant anti western guy who set foot on NATO soil. It's an insane idea but Italy and Libya are relatively close to each other.

Clearly Gadaffi is an idiot. Declaring war on a NATO country validates NATO attacks beyond the remit of the UN resolution. He just locked the one door he might have had to stop the airstrikes.

Italy will totally wreck Libya. Libya just checkmated itself.

Besides, this is Libya attacking Italy on Italy's home turf. Even if they could somehow manage to get over there, they'd get massacred.

Gaddafi really isn't in the position to be declaring war against any country.
