World Community Grid brings people together from across the globe to create the largest non-profit computing grid benefiting humanity. It does this by pooling surplus computer processing power. We believe that innovation combined with visionary scientific research and large-scale volunteerism can help make the planet smarter. Our success depends on like-minded individuals - like you.
World community grid is basically an organization that's trying too better humanity. It's purpose is non-profit humanitarian research. You install this program onto your PC, and it uses your CPU when you're not using it, and connects it to a grid and it uses thousands of other peoples CPU's all at once, making a very inexpensive super-computer. It's then used for research on diseases and such. It's basically a non-self-aware Skynet, but instead of trying too obliterate humanity, it's being used for humanitarian research.
From what I've heard, it's legitimate, and it's a good cause, best of all, it's free.

Sorry if it's late, or been posted before, I searched and didn't find anything, and I think it's a good cause you should all look into.
So this is basically Folding@Home?
Who's making sure it's always trying to better humanity?
I need to run some calculations for my orbital death ray. Where do I request use of this grid?
