If they're thinking about fighting a war like that on multiple fronts, they've got another thing coming. That's almost never turned out well for the aggressor.

They can't afford to fight this thing on a [b]SINGLE[/b] front, let alone multiple fronts.
If North Korea declared war on [U]anybody[/U] they would lose horribly and the regime would crumble. These "act tough" actions are probably for the young leader to win the support of the military.
I like to think that the current leader is a reformer who will pull a crumble the soviet union on us.

They could still do some damage and cause a large number of civilian deaths in South Korea.
No one is stupid enough to believe they could win against any of the people they threaten, but they could cause moderate loss of life and that's bad by any measure.

Japan is a major economic power in the region and it has, along with most other UN countries, imposed trade sanctions towards NK, which NK is naturally very unhappy about. Additionally, Japan has recognized South Korea as the only legitimate government of the whole Korean peninsula, and also hosts US forces that may be dispatched to the Korean peninsula in the event of an escalation of the conflict.
Can we just get one of these for NK?

NK has nuclear weapons so it would be able to kill millions. It also spends the most on it's military. Of course, it's also incredibly corrupt, poor and lacks military supplies for anything.
I watched a video and regular people were using Ox carts to travel.

They hated Japan because the Japanese colonized the Korean Peninsula. They see the Japanese as imperialists just as much as the united states.
