Dameon Ray Parker, 30, lured the cat to the home he rents near downtown Olympia, then held the animal to a railroad tie as he repeatedly struck it, police said. "That animal died a very, very painful, slow death," said Erika Quinn of Thurston County Animal Services. Investigators told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that Parker apparently revealed what he had done on Facebook and offered to give away the cat’s head. Friends and other people who saw what he wrote reported it to police. Police and the Thurston Animal Services confronted Parker, who confessed to the attack, police said. Police said he told officers that the cat was "a stray that got into my stuff" but the animal had a microchip ID and belonged to a neighbor. Parker appeared in court via video on Monday. He is being held on suspicion of felony animal cruelty. Police said he was also in violation of a no-contact order. The cat's body and head were recovered, along with the rusty machete police said was used in the decapitation.[/release] Apparently he recently posted on his FB, which probably means somebody bailed his sorry-ass out...
