Crazy lady plants poisoned orange juice in Star Bucks
SAN JOSE -- Police say a woman who allegedly poisoned two bottles of orange juice and placed them at a Starbucks has been booked on suspicion of attempted murder.
Ramineh Behbehanian, 50, was arrested Monday night after a customer at a Starbucks on Snell Avenue saw her remove two bottles of orange juice from a purse and put them into a refrigerated display case.
Police Sgt. Jason Dwyer said firefighters tested the contents and determined the bottles contained a potentially lethal amount of rubbing alcohol.
The man who saw Behbehanian put the tainted bottles into the case immediately told employees, according to Dwyer. That quick action enabled employees to follow the woman to the parking lot and get her
license plate.
"If it weren't for the actions of that customer I believe we'd be talking about a homicide right now," Dwyer said.
This happened in my local area.
Please don't let this become a thing.
Lady? More like a total bitch. This is terrible, good thing no one got hurt.
this is one of my biggest fears
fucking crazy people taking advantage of trust between a consumer and a routine dont-second-guess-it action
Wouldn't you be able to tell if it's been tampered with, though? Surely the break seal would indicate tampering, that's the whole point of them. In the article it mentions the seals were already broken, so just use common sense before you consume it and you'll be okay

More like a witch.
How could a person get poisoned by rubbing alcohol without noticing the taste? Excluding the chance a child got a hold of it.

unless the person was retarded i don't see how they would mistake the flavor of rubbing alcohol for orange juice

To be fair before reading this I probably wouldn't care if the seal was damaged/broken, I'd drink it anyway. But not any more.
(Ignoring the fact that it would taste like rubbing alcohol)
In the article the workers saw the seals were broken and it smelt really bad. So really I doubt anyone would be dumb enough to swallow or drink anymore after putting it in their mouth.
Really fucking scary though. I'll probably never buy drinks like that anymore without fully checking it.

Really? I guess I'm just paranoid, but I wouldn't touch a bottle/drink with a broken seal. It can also mean the stuff inside has been exposed to air which could mean it's off before you get it! Just return it, much safer

If I'm home and discover a damaged seal I'd just be too fucking lazy, taste the shit and if it tastes okay drink it. If not, just pour it out. No one's gona believe me anyway if I return to store with a juicebox with broken seal.

If they smell it's juice and you haven't drunk half of it I don't think they'd argue. Especially huge supermarkets, they don't seem to care

Doesn't matter if they don't believe you. If you really wanted to, they'd have to take it back. Of course most people would just throw it out.
I usually just throw things out if the seals are broken, especially in the case of medicine.

She looks like the "I did it and I would do it again" type
Man first we had that crazy guy crash into the walmart, now this.
My city has been going down lately...
If you were to poison a bottle, wouldnt the best way be to puncture a tiny hole in the bottom and inject your poison in, and then take a dab of hot glue or something to seal if off? Instead of you know, taking the caps off and filling it with rubbing alcohol...

San Jose always has some pretty crazy shit going on, especially the east side (King Road, Tully Road, Story Road, etc), but it's starting to get out of hand in my opinion.

Holy shit, it even happened on the street by the house that I used to live in, this is a bit crazy. I think I may even know exactly where it happened because of that if my memories are clear enough.

Heh, sorry. Its just something like this never happened to me before so i was sorta surprised.
It's unsettling when things like this happen so close to home

Thanks, now I'll never buy a bottled beverage ever again.
I think I'd easily find myself too distracted to realize that the seal is broken
Somehow I think whoever consumed one would have tasted the rubbing alcohol.

Haha tully and story are so ghetto I feel so unsafe driving there.
She put rubbing alcohol as the "poison"? Pretty sure it'd be extremely easy to taste in non-lethal amounts and a person would be able to get help quickly.
Shitty poison plan.
That would explain the cops in the plaza when I was driving to coach at the high school across the street lol
Luckily she isn't one of the more intelligent psychopaths.
