What IS Giant Bomb?
From top to bottom, Giant Bomb is a collection of dudes who freakin' love video games. Our editorial team has collectively played and written about video games professionally for over 30 years, and they're not looking to quit anytime soon. I mean, what else could they do at this point, really?

The Giant Bomb staff discuss the latest video game news and new releases, taste-test questionable beverages, and get wildly off-topic in this weekly podcast.
Quick Looks
The site regularly posts Quick Looks, videos showing unedited gameplay footage of a single game, featuring commentary from staff members playing the game, or simply watching another play. The feature has been used to profile highly anticipated games, give mention to lesser-known games, or to intentionally showcase bad games for humorous purposes.
Unprofessional Fridays is their weekly premium live show, where the staff brings in a random assortment of games to play.

I miss Ryan. Feels like Jeff has less fun now that he's gone, sad times.
Giant Bomb thread? Maybe....

Unfortunately this. I haven't even really been tuning into the bombcasts since Ryan passed, it just doesn't feel the same. Although I don't expect it to.

This thread may now commence.
I am watching the entirety of the 24-Hour livestream, and I've made it most of the way through. There's some good gold in there.

This is probably one of the funniest videos they've done this year

Also you should mention the powerbombcast

I've honestly felt that way about Jeff for a while now. Even before Ryan died, it seemed like the past few years have made him more cynical. I've been listening to the 2009 podcasts recently and it's almost strange to hear Jeff laugh as much as he once did. What was so great about Ryan was his ability to hold together the podcast and keep the pace flowing. Plus the newer podcasts lack the proper editing work that Ryan would do.
If you want something more refreshing, at least listen to the recent bombcast hosted by Vinny and featuring Alexis. Some great laughs in that one.
I recommend xpantherx's Best of Giant Bomb Quick Looks if you want to get a feel for how funny QLs can be
Also, the thread should have been titled "It's a thread! About a website! About video games!"

One of my favourite Bombcast moments of this year.

I think that the Ryan Davis memorial podcast is the best bombcast episode. It's just a really good, nostalgic look back on the gamespot days, and that really struck a chord with me because I've been following Jeff since when I was 10 googling Tony Hawk shit.
Speaking of the ExtraLife stream they did, there was that one part where Vinny put that electro shock game down his pants and shocked his balls

Thankfully I was watching and recording the stream there and had that uploaded before their stream even ended (you know, for the kids)

I want Jeff's shirt.

It's been made worse by the fact that we're inbetween generations, so there hasn't been much video game news to talk about. Each podcast has kinda just devolved into a "what did you play" roundup, which isn't much these days, followed by some somewhat interesting news. I'm sure things will get better next week with the PS4 launch.
Ryan added a ton of character to the podcasts. I don't think Jeff can do that as much, although I love him to death. Vinny gotta stay stronk.

I feel like having Drew on full time has gone a long way to help.
This week's podcast mixes things up pretty well with the addition of Jeff and Brad. Patrick's visiting San Francisco for the PS4 launch, so I think he'll be on the podcast next week. Not sure what Alex Navarro is up to.

Also, Vinny's hosting and editing for the podcast is amazing.

I love the intro he uses.
I made a theme mashup similar to the one Vinny uses when he edits the podcast.

Brad and Jeff are my favorite Giant Bombers.

Vinny and Jeff quick looks are always hilarious.
Also, anything involving Vinny, Drew and Dave with flight simulators.

I like Brad mostly because he is basically me. Plays Dota, pretty chill most of the time, and I wear basically the same clothes.
Vinny and Drew are also great. No real opinion on Dave, but he's a cool dude.
