Yesterday I made this to try out Illustrator which I just bought for the first time:
your ulr is not working. What does URL stand for nayway? Universal Reference Link or something?
Here, fixed
It isn't bad, but I don't see why he is so coolface. Maybe remove some of his teeth?
Yeah nice job tracing a meme horribly onto a traced meatboy. The blood underneath is extremely shitty and not following perspective. Never post your first work especially if it's meme related.

No seriously it is like a 10 minute trace, which is the okay part, and then there's the self-made part which is just entierly horrible. Plus there's this meme involvement which makes it all stumble down alot in everyones eyes that isn't /b/ How about you work on something that is worth shit, post it in the creative work that doesn't deserve a thread and then we can talk about proper feedback.
You seriously did nigh to nothing to it. Even you could decide that this doesn't deserve a thread.
Then tell me how I should improve.
by drawing something else.
Then tell me how I should improve.
I allready did.
What should I put instead of troll face then?
your face. ?
What should I put instead of troll face then?
It's not like trollface is the only option now is it?
It should be something funny, like a spoof of meatboy. I'd like to put it on a tshirt after I'm done. so yeah what could I use as the face instead of that? (no, not my face)
if you think that trollface is funny and spoof of a meatboy you're a lost cause.
^ You have seen my response in the post above.
if you think that trollface is funny and spoof of a meatboy you're a lost cause.
It was just a trial. Either suggest something or get out.
You could've expect people to react like this, so don't tell him to get out.

Do we have a rule that says no first work? If we don't we should.
Yeah nice job tracing a meme horribly onto a traced meatboy. The blood underneath is extremely shitty and not following perspective. Never post your first work especially if it's meme related.
Those compliments from daijitsu really got to your head. You're a huge dick about this. But you're right so I can't really object. But you could be a lot nicer. This is a much smaller community than the rest of facepunch, and it's in part because elitists like yourself drive people away. Show some respect.
:bravo:
Other than a shithead, now you've proven yourself to be an idiot too. So, this means I should explain the concept word-by word for the mud-brained like you:

I bought Adobe CS5, the web design version
I bought it for Photoshop and Dreamweaver, and I've never used Flash and Illustrator which were bundled with it
Yesterday I discovered it and found it fun to draw around with it
Since I've never used it, this was my first trial, or test of it
I made this, just to experiment
You came in and shown how stupid and respectless you are.
So yeah, as Captain Bald said, pay more respect. I don't care who you are, and you aren't coming through as "cool" at all. You're just shit to me like anyone else that behaves like you. And yeah, thanks Captain Bald for pointing that out. So please, 3v3ryb0dy guy, if you have nothing intelligent to say, you can well get out. You're not needed by any of us, expecially me. There are a lot of other people more than willing to be nice and helpful. Yeah, then back on topic. I scrapped the trollface and tried this. It still needs some shading, but I was trying to get the general idea. What do you think?
Oh trial in that context. Gotya.
Oh trial in that context. Gotya.
Great. I hope we can be friends and you can try and be a bit nicer about this.
bald, read my reply to the thread I just locked. I gotta talk to a few people and level things out. new meatboy looks good, maybe use this as an excercise to make a few faces and work on your technique.
For a test, you seem to be getting a hang of the program nicely. You have a good control of line. They look crisp and you can make nice shapes. I see you attempted shadows, which is a nice touch. I would try to get the fullest out of the program and try experimenting with using a wider range of colors. Try to think about drawing as if you were looking from a certain angle, or perspective, and how blood would look if it was flowing or if it was splattered.
*Also that is much much better. Blood looks more than something out of japan. Add some highlights to that blood and make some parts have foreshortening or such effects. And add minimal shadows/highlights to the facial hair. Hang on I'll find some example. This should work, notice how the corners go also notice how it's composed of circles and ovals. Your angling on the meatboy is just wrong, flip the image and you'll see. And I'm not really elitist.

About the color, there's a little problem because I'm limited to 6 colors in this picture and I've already used all of them sadly
Hmm, then maybe you could use one color for the facial hair and the line. Also, if you're working with a limited palette, make your highlights even brighter, and your shadows even darker.
