Did a little something for my girlfriend today, figured I'd share. Youtube raped the quality, better version on my facebook if ya ever visit. The video was taken on my Nikon D5000, but for some reason I couldn't get it to stop auto-correcting the exposure as I recorded. Need to figure that out some day.
I prefer your hands over my own. Also nice Origami Skills
I would personally recommend contrasting fast and slow motion more (there are elements of it occuring naturally, but it could be exaggerated and the whole thing could be cut down a tad more length wise), preferably in rythm to the music (ain't heard C.H. in a while either)
thanks for the input. I had to edit in adobe after effects because prepiere refused to play my video files, showing the first frame for the full time of the clip. Editing clips and timing in after effects is a bitch, maybe because I'm so used to premiere. :frown:
Timing is piss easy in AE, trust Time Remapping, lets you do it by keyframes; read up!
yeah, I changed that, but I haven't the slightest clue how to cut things apart and tweak at bits. I was in a rush to get it done early today, so I didn't go out looking for tutorials, but I might have to look more into it since premiere hates my camera's videos :argh:
Really nice. Yet to find a girlfriend myself that would appreciate such a hearty gift. Congratulations.
Someone else who still wears a watch. I was like "Okay... You made a box, I don't see how that's really romantic," and then you pulled it out. Should have made a stem. :v:

They're all sentimental, mainly because most of them were gifts. also, the watch I'm wearing is fucking awesome, and was a gift from my girlfriend. <3
My watch is classier. Nice vid, song was catchy. [editline]09:03PM[/editline] Wait you wear your watch on your right hand what the christ
Nice Video, and what is so weird about wearing your watch on your right hand? I do it too. :colbert:
Left handed, woo! Fun fact, a recent study suggests that a large majority of lefties actually developed as twins early on in the womb, but eventually killed and absorbed their sibling before they developed much. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE! :black101: [editline]04:15PM[/editline]
I prefer your hands over my own.
Why didn't I respond to this earlier... Cheers mate. (watch my right hand's middle and index fingers in the video for a little of what normally goes on without me trying)

Or you can do as i do. Export the video as lossless and then just edit it in Premiere.
ah, you know I thought about exporting/importing back and forth, but again I was pressed for time. I'll pick up some tutorials or possibly try and fix premiere up to work right, since I seem to be getting into a good mood with video.
What the fuck? The video isn't available in my country. )=
I wish my hands were nimble like that. :frown: also what's the song called?
"Colours", by Calvin Harris. Cool guy, I've gotten into a rut listening to his quirky modern disco stuff...
Jesus Christ your hands are bones. Great vid, a tad drawn out but it was cool how the form of the paper only came at the very end. Came as a complete surprise.
yeahhhh... I didn't want it to be too drawn out, but if I sped it up any faster you couldn't see what I was doing. Due to the previously discussed lack of know-how in the program I was editing, I couldn't get it to speed up mid-clip. Before I edited, my intentions were to make one piece at normal speed, then blast past the two identical ones, then make the green piece and show the different little form, blast past everything, then do the assembling at a slightly fast speed (as it is in the video) [editline]06:46PM[/editline]
What the fuck? That's really awesome, great work
Hey do you have instructions for that? I love origami.
Hey do you have instructions for that? I love origami.
I just watched this video, ages ago, and then again to refresh my memory for this video-
okay. I usually use paper instructions, but, given the ease of this one, I think the video will be fine.
Aw that was so sweet of you to make that rose flower out of paper. I bet your girlfriend really liked it.
she hit 'like' on the video on facebook... then every time she comes back to it she'll unlike it then click like again so the damn notification keeps coming back :v:
