• Samsung no longer a chip supplier for Apple iPhones A6 chips
For some time now Samsung presence has been a large part of the Apple supply chain, but it looks like Apple are now turning their attentions elsewhere. Most will be aware of the various law suits that have recently befallen Samsung, courtesy of Apple. An ongoing issue that has notably and most recently lost Samsung sales across Europe for its biggest tablet the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The hostility that undoubtedly exists between the two companies isn’t isolated, especially with this latest development. Samsung have been producing integral parts for a host of Apple products for some time now and were in line to produce the next generation of Apple A6 multi-core processors, the same processors destined for the iPad 3 and the iPhone 6 next year, however now it looks like Apple are prepared to deal another financial blow to the Korean tech giant by severing ties yet further and taking their business elsewhere. DigiTimes have picked up on recent shifts going on in the Apple supply chain, including a recent visit to packaging and testing firm, Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL). From said visit, it appears that Apple officials were assessing how viable working on the upcoming A6 processors together could be. SPIL at this time denies any such discussions have taken place, but assuming it is the case, this reinforces the losses being made by Samsung and their altercations with Apple. Tests have also been rumored to be underway with TSMC on both the A5 and A6 chips, this would in fact push the story home further, showing that Apple have already gone elsewhere for their manufacturing needs, including on their current generation processors and as such taking the exclusivity of manufacture from Samsung to boot.
Oh well, Apple screwed themselves. http://www.youmobile.org/blogs/entry/Samsung-no-longer-a-chip-supplier-for-Apple-iPhones-A6-chips
Saw it coming from a mile away.

Finally. Samsung FOR THE WIN!
Finally. Samsung FOR THE WIN!
Samsung just got (potentially) dropped as a supplier. How is that considered winning? I feel sorry for them. Put aside your childish consumer allegiances and realise that on a business level, the only people that can possibly gain from this is Apple.

But since the news doesn't state anything about that, then we'll never know who's the real winner.
don't they mean 5? or is apple in a rush or something
iPhone 5 is coming out in a month or so, so iPhone 6 is next year It's been like 15 months since iPhone 4 came out
Samsung just lost money because of the lawsuit and now they lost more money because they stopped selling the hardware to apple. This is bad.
Is there some legal precedent allowing an angry mob to lay siege to a tech company for a few weeks before finally storming in and forcing all the executives to work in Virginia coal mines? If not, we need to set one by starting with Apple. We could probably work in Activision later if there is still time.
still time before what?
Nothing really, just figure people eventually want to get back to other activities. Though surely some out there are alright with constantly laying siege to corporations.
Marvelous, Samsung, you don't need them.

Well Apple, you had it coming to you, you fucking morons.
I wonder how being a copyright troll feels because I too love to hurt consumers.
Samsung just lost money because of the lawsuit and now they lost more money because they stopped selling the hardware to apple.
Samsung just lost money because of the lawsuit and now they lost more money because they stopped selling the hardware to apple. This is bad.
I would not want to work with a company who just recently fucked over you.
Hahahahahahahahah! Now with ... a speaker.
Actualy, the iPhone does need a new speaker, because it's piss quiet.
