Could cuts heal together if they were from different parts of the body?

Now look, I'm obviously no biologist...
This thought came up to my head when I got a papercut earlier. While I was grimacing in pain I wondered:

If I got got cut on the opposite hand and I held these two open wounds together somehow miraculously still enough for the healing to do its thing, could these two heal together, or is my body actually smart enough to know what cells go where? :v:

Probably a dumb question, I know. But my curiosity needs soothing.
