Please," tweeted Robin Williams' 25-year-old daughter Zelda. "Twitter requires a link and I won’t open it. Don’t either. Please." Just Jared writes that the actress had been inundated with awful words and disturbing images depicting her father after his death. The users mentioned in Williams' initial plea were reportedly suspended but a commentor claims the culprits have opened new accounts and are now "boasting about the attention." The abuse on social media eventually led Williams' into deciding to delete Twitter from her devices.
Line these fuckers up, and have a firing squad shoot at them. This is something you DON'T do in the wake of someone's death.
What a bunch of pricks.
Wooow what the fuck
Honestly, how someone can actively find joy in verbally abusing the daughter of a man who brought nothing but joy to the world sickens me.
i really want to see the dickheads shrinking into the woodwork who usually say "wow its just an internet troll you can turn off the computer" coming in here
Considering there isn't such a thing as turning off the computer these days, their arguments generally died out. That and the whole 'Finding a person's personal address, phone number, workplace, etc.' thing.
Bullying someone because her dad just died. Wow, these guys must be riots at parties.
what? I haven't been keeping up on this, why the fuck are they abusing her?

When a public figure dies, you should prepare/expect this 100% of the time (see WBC). She has my deepest sympathies, but they should not die for pulling a typically-sought attention-driven stunt.
She did the right thing, not a good thing to browse around after what happened with some shitheads with troll accounts impersonating a gangster life style harassing you(I saw the tweets). Last thing one of them said was "nigga we made it", grotesque people. Sincerely hope she gets less broken by this, I just hope she doesn't fall into a state a lot of people do.

they sent her a picture of a dead body that looked sort of like robin williams with a very visible red mark around its neck from being strangled by something. pretty fucked up
what? I haven't been keeping up on this, why the fuck are they abusing her?
Because they know she's in a horrible place right now, and they thought they could get some good reactions out of her. At least I'm assuming that's what those scum bags were trying to pull, bastards.
they sent her a picture of a dead body that looked sort of like robin williams with a very visible red mark around its neck from being strangled by something. pretty fucked up
4chan found it was some mexican dude that looked like him, the image is from 2009/2010
accompanied by the text "look at what he fuckin did to himself because of you, you fucking heartless bitch"
Last thing one of them said was "nigga we made it", grotesque people.
And this is why people will continue to be motivated to do shit like this. The best reaction is the lack of reaction. Instead, she gave a named shoutout to the people who trolled her which gave them the percise minute-fame they sought. I know, the loss is immeasurable, but she is feeding the fire (and future ones) by reacting. A lot of people who do this type of shit tend to be lowkey fans. This is what they want.
I take comfort in knowing it's only a matter of time before these guys' lives become non-stop turning down pizza deliveries and prank calls But seriously like, aside from how great her dad was, she's really cool too and this makes me really upset. I hope she and her family will be alright.
accompanied by the text "look at what he fuckin did to himself because of you, you fucking heartless bitch"
Who fucking blames Zelda Williams Zelda is fucking golden fuck these people holy shit she does not deserve this whatsoever, nobody does but least of all her
It must be unfathomably sad and depressing to lose someone so close to you, only to discover that nothing in the world has changed and people are just as twisted as before.

This does not represent the majority of 4chan users
I wouldn't be surprised if lies were going around to stir up shit. Same thing happened to Steve Irwin. Some dickheads started rumors that he touched kids after his death to start shit and give his family shit over it and cursing him.
@Starpluck That is rational. But you can't expect her to behave rationally after abuse like that.
imagine being proud of doing something like this
i really want to see the dickheads shrinking into the woodwork who usually say "wow its just an internet troll you can turn off the computer" coming in here
...but she did turn off something, in this case Twitter. I don't side with those people very much because 'turning off your computer' is a silly ass thing to do in 2014 considering how connected everything is, so don't get mad or something.
There's a thing though, a lot of people don't actually spend that much time online to understand there are weirdos out there just waiting reactions to mock later, they just assume they're regular people so they end up talking back at them.
When you are an A-list celebrity or the relative of one, the amount of time you spend online is irrelevant when it comes to the the basic mechanics that come with a live, realtime interaction with an audience of hundreds of millions. She's not being blamed, but the mere fact she essentially chose to "trophy/immortalize" the names of her attackers just displayed a huge vulnerability, and one that will be utilized for exploitation for years to come (for other celebrity deaths). Similarly if someone on the street threw a rock at her, her reaction shouldn't be to post their cred online, but to contact her lawyers. I know the emotions are uncontainable, but she should really keep it under wraps considering her position. This is not exclusive to her and this will seriously fuck her.

She's not being blamed, but the mere fact she essentially chose to "trophy/immortalize" the names of her attackers just displayed a huge vulnerability, and one that will be utilized for exploitation for years to come. Similarly if someone on the street threw a piece of shit at her that was molded in the shape of Robin Williams, her reaction shouldn't be to post their cred online, but to contact her lawyers.
Well, when people have feelings and they intensely increase when a person extremely close to them that dedicated his life to bring joy to the world commits suicide because he was depressed, they don't go by logic and clear thought. Have it easy on her, she did the right thing, it's not her fault these tweets popped up on her business, she asked them to be reported and she left knowing she shouldn't have given them what they wanted. Life is hard, not a surprised, it's easy to talk, even when we don't know about what they feel or think.
@Starpluck That is rational. But you can't expect her to behave rationally after abuse like that.
I understand, but it is not solely a matter of "you'd only say that since you haven't endured that abuse." Many celebrities have managed fine without immortalizing these douchebags as they likely have some form of a pre-regulatory plan in place when it comes to posting live posts, and she should look into that instead of giving them fame. This is extremely common. If you don't think any families were trolled in the past following celebrity deaths you are very deeply mistaken, the difference is that they were rightfully assigned as background noise. She chose not too and will suffer. The WBC posts the most vile shit and yet no celebrities respond to them, and yet she decided to respond to nameless accounts instead. If you are a public figure, you will always induce the wrath of the internet upon death because they automatically try to compensate for the fact their message will unlikely be seen so they post the most vile extremist and attractive shit possible, and the fact they already assume your self-esteem is infinite and nothing can "touch you" for being so famous they go full force in disgust. Even though that's her dad, she should not take the attacks personally, but rather as a "Let's troll the celebrity because they're famous"
Must be the Westboro Baptist Church.
My first reaction to reading the title was "Oh for fuck's sake"
