You keep hearing more and more about how screwed up the world cup in Brazil is, they really shouldnt of been allowed to bid on hosting it in the first place

They should fix domestic issues with the revenues from the WC.
Also, this is happening too:

Brazil is doing the Olympics and the World Cup. Didn't anyone stop for a moment to kinda wonder how they'd be able to manage that?

Isn't this over the World Cup?

Both aren't mutually exclusive at this stage. If brazil fucks up the WC (and it looks like they will), you can bet the IOC will be absolutely pissed at them.

fairy tale; they won't even have the infrastructure ready for the event and they spent a shitton of money (and abused lots of poor people) on it already.
also rampant gummint corruption

i'm rather pessimistic, but even i don't believe we're gonna fuck up the world cup, there will probably be disturbances, but actually fuck it up? no way.
I know this is bad, but I want to see this all go horribly wrong, because it will be on such a massive scale that it could maybe cause the world to change for the better, or at least a part of it.
Best of luck Brazil and stay safe tourists.

Actually, nobody else bid to host it because FIFA insisted that the World Cup be held in Latin America.

it's not like our problems are because of the lack of money, we are the 5th largest economy on the world, the WC won't make any big changes on the economy

for some reason folks in facepunch(like other threads showed) seem to believe that brazil lacks/needs money to do stuff. :v: , its not as if we have one of the most corrupt government and elite in the planet or anything lol.
Isn't Sao Paulo one of the richest city's going too?

the IOC is as corrupt as the Brazilian government, they aren't in a position to be pissed about anything other than their own malfeasance.
