Post your favorite Book Genres.
Mine are:
Informative and Humor.
Informative because I can enjoy reading about a hobby and learn even more about it. Usually For Dummies books are my favorite, they make the material interesting. Plus just reading a manual/guide or two can spark a few hobbies or shoot down bad ideas.
Humor because no day should go without a laugh. The Onion is pretty funny, although people in Barns And Noble look at me funny if I laugh too loud...Satirical books are also nice too, if they have a plot on their own they are even better.
Sadly I cant get into fiction. Its work in progress, but the motivation is lacking there
EDIT: Drat, meant to post in fast threads. Eh, this section generally has better answers though.
Fantasy, Fiction, Realistic Fiction, stuff like that.
Not sure what genre it is but I love chuck Palahniuk. I have read every one of his books.
Probably Fantasy, stuff done by R.A. Salvatore, Glen Cook, and Joe Abercrombie.
Oh, and horror books are pretty good, too.

But I do like a good horror novel, so that has my vote. Detective genre is also pretty sweet.
Although I'd say Tolkien is probably my favourite writer and he didn't even write anything in either of the two aforementioned genres..uh..go figure :D

Also, I used to read a ton of fiction, but now I go through information books learning about things my teachers don't teach.

Sci-fi and horror.
I have been reading the Dark Tower series by Stephen King lately. I just started on the third one which is pretty good.
I chose religious, as I like where's wally.
picture book because I cannot be bothered reading.
