Newport councillor Rhys Hutchings, also a member of the band Goldie Lookin Chain, said he thought local teenagers were to blame. "It's either kids or the Newport underworld community - I'm pretty sure it's not Alan Titchmarsh," he joked. The leafy pot plants were growing in open view of passers-by on some of the city's busiest streets.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-south-east-wales-23566284 l0l
They aren't bad looking plants.
looks great
They aren't bad looking plants.
Fit quite nicely but honestly if they were left they would either be pulled out or they'll take over the whole flower bed, you can see its already trying.
I've heard of something similar - Someone played a trick on a police department on a city somewhere in Canada (I forget which one) by tossing cannabis seeds into the flowerbeds outside. Nobody noticed the plants until the commissioner paid a visit for an inspection. Think it may have been Halifax, NS, actually.
hahaha I had no idea one of the people from goldie lookin chain was a councillor - that's fucking weird
Don't want to mess up the councils beautiful display gardens. It's called weed for a reason..

Newport is literally hell itself.
Bet that's what it would be like if marijuana was legal, just growing alongside all the other flowers in the garden.
Newport is literally hell itself.
can't be worse than birmingham
Oh my god! We need another stakeout!
Since the seeds are legal to buy (at least here) this should be done more often :v:
Bet that's what it would be like if marijuana was legal, just growing alongside all the other flowers in the garden.
Nah they'd probably remove it, it is called weed for a reason!
haha reminds me of years ago when me and my mates started growing we had this idea of planting a massive cannabis plant downtown at this roundabout that has plant decoration in the middle.
I can imagine people protesting by planting weed in hundreds of public areas :v:
If they left it there that plant, it would smell badass like :v: however it would probably attract a lot of insects
The BBC headline in the top 10 was better. It was something along the lines of "Cannabis found growing in pot plant".
One day, one of these fuckers decided to pop up in my garden. I have no idea how it got there (though I suspect it grew out of one of the seeds from the seed mix we feed our birds). It's still there, it's a nice looking plant, so I don't plan on destroying it voluntarily.

Those are legal and the only way to figure them out from cannabis are the little crystals forming around the plant.

Can't say it's not pretty.
I read that as "Cannibals found growing in council owned street plants" as I was scrolling by. I need more sleep.

I would say the plants had an easy time growing with the weather we have been having. I would say if someone was to plant them in the wild, a none hybrid version, basic weed it will spread
