A village that likely took months, or even years to build, is destroyed in seconds, just because of one mistake. Shows you the type of power we are dealing with in this day and age.

I think the reason is that it was China for this one. Their space program wasn't exactly the best in the 90's. Also like the other poster pointed out that audio is downright creepy.
I don't like this new dark direction they're taking Kerbal Space Program in
Holy...shit. How many were killed?

Killed 6, wounded more than 60, at least 80 homes demolished.

However the total death toll is "disputed" so it may be more.
Did China borrow rockets from North Korea or something?
how do you fuck up that bad
It looked like it couldn't be recovered before it was even 100m from the ground.
Anyone know why exactly it messed up?Is there a confirmed reason anywhere?
Wish I could do THIS in Far Cry 3...
Woo hoo! My god, the flames!
And that is why you always move in on the west side of a launch facility. Rockets launch eastward or northward as a rule, you're least likely to get hit by one falling out of the sky to the west.
Poopy Joe.... Taken too soon...

I'm very surprised an explosion of that size wiped out 80 homes but only killed 6 people.

This is true, although in cases like this it doesn't really matter; that thing was turning way before it should have started its gravity turn so it could have gone in any direction really.

When I was watching the video, it looks like a nuclear bomb went off. I thought though it being in China we will never know how many people actually died.
the audio is so eerie it's not even funny.

Why would they have a launch facility so close to an inhabited area?
There's a reason that the US's main launch facility is next to the ocean.
sounds like the audio was edited to reverb like FUCK
