why
how does someone put time/energy into something that's so run into the ground
There's a point where this needs to stop and we've clearly passed it.
And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you

To be fair... they probably started it a week ago when Harlem Shake was cool.
"Animeme"
you honestly can't make this shit up
There's something to be said about the internet when a new fad can be run into the ground so quickly, but I'm not sure what.
I bet the kid that made this video is in 8th grade, and has memes drawn all over his backpack with sharpie.

i can't wait for this to fully die off.
Why did I come here again? I knew it was gonna be BS. Probably just to find or make a witty remark on this, but do I really need to put effort into that?
What the fuck is this?
Facepunch, land of the hypocrite.

If he's in 8'th grade and can animate so well then props to him
"oh no it's a video of that thing I stopped liking because it went popular but with a bunch of memes that I stopped liking because they went popular"
"oh no it's a video of that thing I stopped liking because it went popular but with a bunch of memes that I stopped liking because they went popular"
oh no it's the exact same thing every single time. (your post + the fad)
Why is slenderman there
"oh no it's a video of that thing I stopped liking because it went popular but with a bunch of memes that I stopped liking because they went popular"
"oh no its a video of a thing this guy stopped liking because it went popular but with a bunch of memes that he stopped liking because they went popular, better post about it"
Why is slenderman there
It's a good *le meme~
The fun of harlem shake was the people. Cartoons just make it completely pointless.
-snip-
This is the only one I've actually liked
animeme is still going? jesus christ will someone make it stop
probably the best depiction of internet memes and viral videos on the internet! a brilliant piece of art.
The entire channel is literally cancer.

Basically yeah. People drown memes in funnies until it reaches the mainstream and then suddenly they hate it. One sec it's "Haha this video is hilarious!" the next it's "Oh wow another stupid meme. Only idiots would laugh at this trash."
Pissing in a sea of piss
just got dammit why did anyone ever create the word meme and attach it to fads on the internet

Telling the same joke 1000 times doesn't make it any funnier. There's a point where using a cookie-cutter template for humor and jokes stagnates and becomes unfunny, i am sorry if you and others are unable to see that. I never found the Harlem Shake funny, and never commented on the videos, but the people posting about it.

I think you missed the part where he talks about Facepunch being hypocritical, not about internet fads and memes.
