It's not though, I got there a few times a week. Never any problems, it's one of the most fun cities to visit in Belgium.

Its really pretty but it does tend to get super busy. I'm pretty keen on antwerp, not quite as picturesque as bruges but a really beautiful city, if anyone visits try to go in summer to catch the "summer bars" while they're open.

I think belgium in general is beautiful and really friendly and pretty small so you can cycle to nearby cities fairly easy and its cheap.
I seriously love the place.
