Some 35 Muslim and non-Muslim women held a beach party demonstration outside the French embassy in London on Thursday, protesting against a ban on burkinis enforced in some coastal towns in France.
http://uk.reuters.com/article/2016/08/25/uk-religion-burqa-london-protests-idukkcn1101to?utm_source=applenews

how's that lady levitating the globe
how's that lady levitating the globe
Muslim magic
Would have been more effective to actually wear Burkinis and hold a sign that said "worn by choice" or something to point out that the oppression of woman should be fought against but banning clothing is retarded. Cause right now the OP pic just seems like a typical SJW representing others pic.
how's that lady levitating the globe
The feminism movement literally moves the planet

I don't really understand the point of this. Shouldn't they be doing this on France? Also you euros know nothing about beach wear. Terrible attires.
Have them wear a burkini every single time they come to the beach, no other option for at least a week/7 times at the beach. Then see if they approve of the ban.
I don't really understand the point of this. Shouldn't they be doing this on France? Also you euros know nothing about beach wear. French people protest in France and by and large British people protest in Britain.
Have them wear a burkini every single time they come to the beach, no other option for at least a week/7 times at the beach. Then see if they approve of the ban.
How about the state stays out of peoples dressing habits completely.
What's the point of protesting French law in England? Even if it's outside the embassy the French government isn't going to give a shit unless the protests happen in France. nobody cares if some hipsters sat outside the embassy.
That looks like the most dysfunctional protest imaginable for such a thing to protest. Go to the beach, have everyone where the burkas, don't make signs or anything, just sit there and have them continue to either arrest you for forcibly remove them. I mean like get 200 - 300 women to join in and it will make a statement. The press will flock to it. That's how you protest, uniformed, smart, direct, and peaceful. This just looks like a party on the street.
How about the state stays out of peoples dressing habits completely.
But then people can just walk naked in the streets. How about the state reflect the people?
But then people can just walk naked in the streets. How about the state reflect the people?
Very few people want to walk naked through the street. Lots of Muslims want to go to the seaside and not be forced by armed police to remove an item of clothing they find religiously significant. Lots of people want the latter to be the law. How about the state not get involved in this?

This ban was silly from the start, think about it. The muslim women who genuinely believe in their religion would want to wear the burkini to obey their religion but also to be able to have fun at the beach. But now she can't enjoy herself at the beach, because she can't wear anything to go swimming. She might as well stay at home. And the muslim women who don't believe in Islam but live in a religious family that forces her to obey will have the exact same problem too. They might as well stay at home either. So I don't see the point. If they thought this law would make muslims want to reform Islam and make it more liberal, they were naive and mistaken.
Muslim magic
Pretty sure that's haram.
But then people can just walk naked in the streets. How about the state reflect the people?
I wouldn't give a fuck if people wanted to waddle around naked. But we don't wear clothes because society forces us to. We do it because occasionally the outside gets cold.
I wouldn't give a fuck if people wanted to waddle around naked. But we don't wear clothes because society forces us to. We do it because occasionally the outside gets cold.
and society forces us too
i hate what the Burka stands for but i feel like forcing national dress codes is worse [editline]25th August 2016[/editline]
I wouldn't give a fuck if people wanted to waddle around naked. Also that "Islamophobia" writing on there. Why does this word even exist?
But then people can just walk naked in the streets. How about the state reflect the people?
some women would consider themselves naked without a burka. maybe instead of acting like "naked" isn't a subjective term we should just try not caring?
Also that "Islamophobia" writing on there. Why does this word even exist?
Because people being afraid of Muslims exist for example, probably half of Sensationalist Headlines.
Also that "Islamophobia" writing on there. Why does this word even exist?
Banning burkini's is pretty much the clearest example of Islamophobia.
Well in Germany, leftists always block any and all arguments against immigrants with "Islamophobia". It's kinda' getting on my nerves because they tell you not to be afraid. I think this year alone has proven that this sort of fear is rational. Personally whenever I hear Islamophobia it's leftists downplaying the actual issue. "Oh look, these fearmongering fools are islamophobic." Just like saying that you're racist for stating your opinion on the refugee crisis.
Only 35 protestors? Really?
I think this year alone has proven that this sort of fear is rational.
A handful of (awful, yes) terrorist attacks does not rationalise the demonisation or fear of an entire ethnoreligious group, surely you understand that? Frankly if you're letting it affect you that much, you're letting the terrorists win.

Islamophobia is brought up by leftists about Muslims because most of the people who complain about refugees just don't like Muslims. [editline]26th August 2016[/editline] And people used to say racist but then all of the racist's said "ISLAM AIN'T A RACE HAHA GOT YOU" so now we say Islamophobia. Who knew they'd just say "THAT'S NOT A REAL WORD HAHA GOT YOU."
