the looting mechanic looks cool, wish i could do that in dark souls instead of [sp]farming the SAME FUCKING ENEMY 50 TIMES FOR SOME GOT DAMN PANTS[/sp] hope it turns into a decent game
Certainly looks less clunky than LotF, and less generic beefcake mclargehuge. Just hoping the level-design is less fucking atrocious and confusing than some of the areas in LotF.
Doesn't look too bad. Will have to.keep a look out for it.
Lords of the Fallen was a blatant Dark Souls imitator, but if that was this studio getting to grips with the kind of games they want to make then that's excellent. Because this looks like another sort of game that takes Dark Souls formula and goes in its own direction with it, with a breath of polish, experience and originality in mechanics and setting that Lords of the Fallen just didn't have. Tbh, this looks good. It's super encouraging that they just showed 10 minutes of uninterrupted gameplay too. The dev seems really into the game he's making too, which is always great.
wish the combat was a bit more snappy for both the player and enemies and not so 'OH BOY HERE COMES MY ATTACK YOU'D BETTER DODGE IT'. One enemy (the one hiding in the bushes when they turned around) did use a fast lunge attack but it was poorly telegraphed It looks better than the last game but I don't know why they go for such sluggish animation edit: watching more of the gameplay, it does look faster actually. And I guess the heavy, hard attacks are more suited to a machinery type-world than a fantasy one

That faster arcadyness may be a turn off for some people in a Dark Soulsy game but for a guy like me who finds Soulsbourne to be an impenetrable wall it's actually neat to see something a little more approachable.
