Fifa vice-president Jim Boyce says he would support a re-vote to find a new host for the Qatar World Cup in 2022 if corruption allegations can be proven.
The Sunday Times alleges football officials took a total of £3m in return for support of the Qatari bid.
Fifa's chief investigator Michael Garcia is already conducting a long-running inquiry into the allegations.
The Qatar 2022 Bid Committee has issued a statement re-iterating that it denies "all allegations of wrong-doing".
Boyce told 5 live's Sportsweek programme "If Garcia's report comes up and his recommendations are that wrongdoing happened for that vote for the 2022 World Cup, I certainly as a member of the executive co would have absolutely no problem whatsoever if the recommendation was for a re-vote.
"If Garcia comes up with concrete evidence and concrete evidence is given to the executive committee and to Fifa, then it has to be looked at very seriously."
just give the world cup to us... we'll put on a good show and beer allowed.

Please no
I already hear enough insufferable shit about football, having it here would not only increase that exponentially, it would also make the entire country look bad when our abysmal collection of wankers and morons we call a team gets wrecked
Move it to America and let the riots begin in other countries
:)
Yes, move it to the US, maybe we could get into soccer/football (if only there was a way to censor the word for non-americans so they saw football only)

You had it in 1994 ya greedy bastards

i thought i read that football/soccer was having a bit of a resurgence in the states anyways. like hipsters in nyc or somewhere like that pick really weird shitty british lower-league teams to support and they all go to the bar in their wolverhampton wanderers shirts
I was surprised to find out that the U.S. still holds the highest attendance record for the 1994 World Cup.
For a country that doesn't give soccer much attention that's rather impressive.

it's just like baseball. you never hear anybody talking about baseball until the world series comes up.

i met this group of people who like to ask people what their favorite team is and if it's something like arsenal or man city, etc. they start going on about how fuckin great swindon town or colchester or york city are
I didn't know that the Fifa committee cared if people knew that the country selection process was corrupt.
Playing in a hot country is already dumb enough, certain players had a hard time playing in Brazil for the Confederates Cup due to the heat, I can't imagine a World Cup where they take water breaks every 20 minutes.
The possible host countries (if Qatar is disqualified) are South Korea, the United States, Japan, and Australia, as they were the original bidders along with Qatar for the 2022 Cup.
[sp]USA! USA! USA![/sp]
South Korea
"Give us food aid OR WE WILL NUKE FOOTBALL"
It's hot as shit playing out here in New York, I can't imagine playing in Brazil or Qatar.
-snip-
Let north korea host

Maybe Japan, since they'll just be coming off the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo.
[sp]No one ever suggests Canada :( Guarantee they're wouldn't be a heat problem here[/sp]
Have it in Australia and if you complain about the heat you get your head kicked in
If you did something so corrupt that it upset FIFA you've really gone and done it.

Blame your government. Nations aren't suggested, they bid for it like with the Olympics.
Let north korea host
Nuclear football
and not the slave labor conditions where workers die of overwork and heatstroke building air conditioned arena's.

Maybe one round of bribes wasn't enough for FIFA.

The hunger games
just give the world cup to us... we'll put on a good show and beer allowed.
The beer is a given, it's the loose women with a lack a clothing that I care about, and Qatar is trying to ruin that!
Those shoulders, man, so damn sexy.

Yeah but the cup won't.
Give it to the one nation that can be fair and impartial
USA, we dont really care that much but we'd be willing to have the streets filled with clunkers just for tipping and we can put it in like either Detroit or LA where people could riot and not manage to break anything

Fucking hell they're really scraping the bottom of the league barrel there.
