I posted this in General Discussion, due to a quicker answer.
Alright, i start editing a garrys mod video and i pan and crop the clips alot *zoom in/out the clips* then sometimes about 5 minutes into editing i notice my clip isnt working like i preview it and its black. So i right click the clip and click pan and crop and notice its all red. So i basically keep losing my videos, so can someone let me know what is going on? and i also contacted Sony via youtube and they said "Tell us more blah blah blah" and I did like 2 months ago and still NEVER got a new reply.
It looks kinda like this image i found on Google.

Are you accidently deleting those clips in your explorer folders? Even if it's copying/moving them, it'll happen.

No
If you move your source media after placing, it can screw up your clips.
Are those clips that aren't working a different video format?
Before rendering your video, save your project, close and open Vegas again. It should be normal unless you move shit again. Vegas doesn't seem to be friendly with Fraps codecs much.

They do it with Fraps clips, Camtasia clips, Hypercam clips..
Yeah I've uploaded videos and had whole sections blacked out without me knowing.
It does this in Sony Vegas 9, except it's not red.
