The children of the sporting icon have rushed to be at his bedside as doctors treating the former heavyweight champ have told them they fear he “is near the end”. Already four of the 74-year-old’s nine children, including daughters Laila, Hana and Maryum, are at the hospital in the Phoenix area where medics continue to fight a breathing problem picked up by the star. The children flew in last night from around the US as doctors said the future survival of the champ was “uncertain”. Although there were discussions about transporting him to another area of the hospital, sources claimed doctors decided the move “potentially could be deadly,” and the transfer was called off.
Source: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/boxing/muhammad-ali-life-support-family-8110536?ICID=FB_mirror_main http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/06/03/muhammad-ali-family-gathers-as-doctors-say-condition-more-seriou/ http://nypost.com/2016/06/03/muhammad-ali-in-worse-shape-than-earlier-hospital-stays-insiders/ http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/boxing-mma/muhammad-ali-boxing-legend-in-hospital-with-respiratory-issue/news-story/1a7dac578cfd19801f12a35aacc4376e http://edition.cnn.com/2016/06/03/us/muhammad-ali/ Gather your thoughts, gentlemen. It's coming.
Keeping him in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully he gets better, and if not atleast he will die surrounded by loved ones.
Only so much one can last, especially with a career like his. If nothing else, his legendary status will live on
Fucking hell, this is what I didn't need to happen today.
To be honest I had no idea he was even still alive
I've had a hunch that Muhammad Ali the boxer died decades ago. Mandela effect?
He could barely even speak these days in interviews/speeches, really sucks to lose such a legend though. Just yesterday I was reading that it was not really anything to worry about, I wonder what happened.
I thought he died in prison. What's he been doing all this time?
i really wonder though how much better he would have been if they had worried about concussions. i hope he pulls through

guy served as an inspiration to many people out there
I just came back from an amazing impromptu boxing session, I hope for the best.
Sad to say but I don't think we can expect a recovery. Unless I'm thinking of another old boxer, he's been in a pretty shitty, constantly worsening condition for years now.
Doctor wasn't kidding, he just died.
rest in peace, ali
Rest in Peace.
RIP. Á true legend
RIP Champ, there will never be another like you.
Damn... Rest in peace.
probably one of the strongest sentiments about the vietnam war that really spared the whole anti vietnam protest i hope he rest well
Updated title and added a new source. RIP :(
"It will be a killer, and a chiller, and a thriller, when I get the gorilla in Manila." RIP
the 2016 grim reaper is back, and it's getting ridiculous
RIP Muhammad Ali :surrender:
Rip The Greatest. Knew how to play the game mentally and physically
Holy shit, RIP.
RIP, at least he lived to a pretty old age for someone of his profession.
Very few guys even on that kind of level. Sugar Ray Robinson. Tyson. Floyd. GGG headed down that path. RIP to one of the greatest boxers to ever walk the face of the Earth.
Damn, At the Dojang that i go to we talk pretty regularly about Muhammad Ali, We Talked About how he was as a fighter and as a person. Some times when we finish early we try to practice his footwork. It is a shame that he is gone but i hope he went out in peace.
I hope when he walked through the pearly gates, he shouted out "THE CHAMP IS HERE!"
