does this mean I dont have to go to work tomorrow? because that would be awesome. afterwards I think I'll raid a Sonic drive through and make enough Reeses shakes to kill me then carsurf my truck down I-20 until I realize how alone I am.

Almost no one in this forum could afford the event/the gear/the time, and there are so many other events where you can get more for less.
While I'm sure the super milsim/RP aspect could be cool, it seems like it would either be too serious for us, or way too spergy and awful.
I REALLY doubt it'd be spergy judging by the pictures and all of the things you get to experience.
I mean, for $200 you get 9 days of nonstop airsoft along with meals, night patrols w/ NVG's, etc, and assorted military vehicles, rare or not, i've been reading up and it seems kickass as hell.

Considering there's an actual chain of command as well as POW's and daylong patrols, I could easily see it sucking. What happens when you get captured the first day, never rescued, and then interrogated for the other 8 days of the op? Unlikely, yes, but still possible.
Alternatively, running patrols for a full day without conflict can get really dull. During Blacksheep last year, we were on a FRAGO that had us assault a building, and then patrol onto a rally point. During the immediate assault we killed all but 2 of the opfor, so the patrol ended up being a crapshoot taking place over a 30 minute walk. Having that level of action for 24 hours straight would be awful imo.
POWs will be held in the POW detention area for 2 hours for Soldiers or 30 min for Miltzia/Volksgrenadiers. After they are released, they return to their respawn point via roads or trails as KIA. POWs captured at night will be held till the following morning. You will more than likely be interrogated for information as a POW, remember that this event is designed to be an experience for you so if the enemy decides to interrogate you, take your interrogation seriously and remember that in a situation like this in real life you are literally in a life and death situation. DO NOT just play Mr. bad ass, take what your interrogator says deathly serious. You'll get a great deal more out of the experience that way. After your interrogation (if the enemy chooses to do so) you will be released in the enemy camp to look over everything the other side has going on. Look at everything, experience everything, if there is a meal being served, hop in line and try the other side's chow. If there's coffee or tea, have some. Talk to the other side's attendees, look at their equipment, see and experience as much as possible while you are there. Then, from a tactical standpoint, forget everything you saw when you go back. NO information learned while a POW is to be used at all, by anyone, for any reason.
