And how hez's like on tour? Yeah?
Well me and my buds did some crazy MDMA tonight and went to one of his shows. Literally, the epitome of my life was happening tonight. I lost my iPhone 3GS but right now (maybe it's because I'm high on MDMA) I have faith that it will return to my hands.
I love your guys and I love music and everyone around for keeping me hydrated with their water. Love human beings.

Yeah, you're really high.
I got sick when he came to utah in April, but I fucking love Skrillex.

This is my latest favorite, and Gemini in general.
I find skrillex really generic.

Hope you find your phone bra
I bought tickets for $50 to see Skrillex...
But that's because he's playing with Pretty Lights.
He's alright for hard electro I guess, and he doesn't seem like he's very good at playing live. Seems like a nice guy though.
He's fucking amazing live. He whipped out the fattest destinys child remix that no one has heard before

Yeah there's much better dubstep...
One of my friends reproduced part of a track of his or something

With your friends ( long drive) is awesome to zone out.
Oh yeah he got mobbed in sydney
skrillex isn't dubstep, it's a kind of fidgety dirty electro house thing
He has pretty dubsteppy bass sounds... I'd call it dubstep.
He has pretty dubsteppy bass sounds... I'd call it dubstep.
It's more electro house because his tracks don't follow your average dubstep template, changing tempo at parts of the song then changing back.
I really don't agree with you on Skrillex being representative of the dubstep genre, so here we go - comparisons/cool music! (don't really fancy the new-skool stuff though)
old-skool:

Burial - Unite

DMZ - Anti-War Dub

Skream - Midnight Request Line

Cotti ft. Kingpin - Let Go Mi Shirt
new-skool stuff:

Cookie Monsta - Ginger Pubes

Tomba - Choke on Coke

Borgore - Cry Me A River

Rusko - Woo Boost
and then we have Skrillex

Skrillex - Slats Slats Slats

Skrillex - Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (has some elements I guess)
and (dirty) electro house!

AC Slater - Jack Got Jacked (Udachi Remix)

The Bloody Beetroots - Public Enemy
all these genres are more diverse than what I've presented but seriously, Skrillex and Deadmau5 doesn't really represent either dubstep sound.
from what I've heard, skrillex definitely tries to put some dubstep into his tracks.
not very well done though.
You can call it fidget too I guess
[editline]4th July 2011[/editline]
grr automerge
yeah he does, but I think he's pretty shit really. the mainstream devours anything these days and spits it out half-digested, which leaves early adopters of the actual genre pretty bitter.
Yeah, he has very dubstep-esque basslines, but 95% of his songs are definitely fidget/electro-house.
try clicking play on all the tracks I linked and cross your fingers that your browser doesn't cras¨
I'm a bit of a genre-whore really so eh eh
I find skrillex really generic.
I find that all dubstep sounds pretty much the same and isn't really acoustically interesting or psychologically stimulating. Might be decent if I was on MDMA but just generally I prefer more cultural music.
Actually been listenin to Skrillex all night while working on this damn paper.
Good stuff
I like pretty much everything Dubstep and Drum&bass, I like the sounds that I don't think there are any instruments you can play the can make as many sounds as Genres like these.
Skrillex has only one dubstep song I can think of, Scary Monsters & Nice Sprites. I hate it when people think stuff like Kill Everybody is dubstep.
They're okay. Techno, dubstep, and Drum&Bass often get too repetitive for me.
We had some Skrillex mashups and remix's playing in the dedicated dubstep room at a house party I recently went to. :v:. Shit was intense
No I don't know Skrillex, can't say I've ever met him.
Skrillex killed my roll at EDC. He is really generic and not all that interesting to listen to.
