Sorry if this is in the wrong section. But does anybody pay attention to older music? I mean stuff from the 40's, 50's, 60's? In my opinion this was the greatest era of music. I'm a teenager but I grew up with this stuff since I lived with my grandpa who always played this music in the car. Some of the best: Please Mr. Postman by the Marvelettes Volare - Bobby Rydell You Really Got a Hold on Me - Smokey Robinson and the Miracles Return to Sender - Elvis Presley And the 1940's stuff - Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B - The Andrews Sisters (my favorite) Singing starts round 2:30 I swear to god if you give any of these songs a listen, you'll think only one thing. What the fuck happened to music. Well, maybe not. Is anybody else familiar with/ like music from these eras?
Thanks to Fallout and Bioshock, I actually like the Ink Spots. If I Didn't Care... I Don't Want To Set the World on Fire
"I don't want to set the world on fire" - The Inkspots
If you like that song you should try other stuff by The Ink Spots, you should also try listening to The Mills Brothers and Golden Gate Quartet.
Johny B. Goode - Chuck Berry
Oh and "My Favorite things - John Coltrane" is brilliant
Blue Moon - Frank Sinatra Also, anything by Dean Martin. Can't understand why theres not enough Jazz being made these days. Well, I'm still satisfied with these guys.
