And since there's no forum for tattoo-bearers I thought the artsy section would suffice.
These are my preferred choices at the moment, haven't made up my mind, so I'm coming to you guys.
Which would you think would look the best?
-The first one is something I've always thought of doing because it's small and not too over-the-top. Classic nautical star
-The second one, being of a Helter-Skelter, is in reference to the Beatles song of the same name (the song resonates with me quite strongly, one of those 'it describes my life' things, you know?).
-The third, the Sgt. Pepper's logo, is just a fun one I thought would still help my Beatles-ness ring true, but be intricate enough to actually be worth the work.
-And finally, the fourth is one that I find simple but strong, and I'd want nothing more than the boys walking across my arm a la Abbey Road

And I'm not getting any retarded fucking weeaboo tattoos
They're all pretty lame to be honest.
If you're gonna get a tattoo, make it actually be relevant in a few years, something personal, but not a random mood swing *Oh I hate my ex, gonna get her decapitated head on my forehead*
Yeah, none of those seem any good. Especially not the star.
I don't know any friends that have gotten tattoos that have said "Wow I'm really glad I did that all those years ago"
tattoos are overrated and can hurt your chances of getting a professional level job down the road.
Big facepunch tattoo on your back or arm.
That's why I wanted the Helter Skelter, as it is relevant, it is something personal. The only people there for me in my shittiest times were The Beatles, and that song has always struck a chord with me.
And no, I'm not getting a tribal band or EXTREME across my chest, or an anchor.
[editline]23rd March 2011[/editline]
I came here asking which of the four, you guys don't get any say in what I get or why I get it, it's a fucking poll
[editline]23rd March 2011[/editline]
Good old Facepunch, useless
[editline]23rd March 2011[/editline]
Mods close this, I don't know why I even tried
And fuck you, I'm getting the Helter Skelter
Isn't helter skelter the codephrase charles manson used when orchestrating murders
[editline]23rd March 2011[/editline]
Oh, where's the "don't get a tattoo if you get one you'll regret it you idiot" option?
Because I wouldn't regret any of those, and yes Helter Skelter was the Charles Manson thing, but that's because he thought The Beatles were talking to him through The White Album, and the song Helter Skelter (to Charlies Manson) was about "the black man rising back up and taking over, enslaving the white man", so he used it as his codephrase
Fantastic place to get it, too. I hope you like wearing long-sleeve shirts.
Why the fuck would I wear a long sleeve shirt, I'm not going to work anywhere that stuck up, and I'm not ashamed of my taste in music. It's nothing rude or gross, it's as PG as tattoos get.
I_Forgot just can't deal with it

You should wait tell you turn 18 until you make this decision. You sound like you're 12 or something.
"not going to work anywhere that stuck up"
Where you are going to work? Some hipster coffee bar making 7$/hr? lmao.
Don't listen to these fuckwits dude. I say go for it. Helter Skelter obviously means a lot to you. But yeah just consider whether you'll be so keen in 10 years or so. I don't have any tattoos yet myself but plan on it. Definitely don't get the star though. I'd call you a chump if you did. What's the point? Where is the significance? And how many million other people have the exact same bullshit on their body? Fuck that. But yeah. Don't listen to anyone calling you an idiot.
All of those are very cliche.
He's quite right.
Not only are those all cliche, they're all terrible for that area.
If you're going to get one, get Helter Skelter, but get it on your upper arm so you can cover it with a shirt sleeve
At 17 years old you might be saying you'll work nowhere that stuck up, but really how the fuck do you know where you'll end up in life?
I'll be getting a 1/3 sleeve on my upper left arm, and most of the world is never going to see it due to shirts, but I'm perfectly fine with that.
[editline]24th March 2011[/editline]
And yeah, I know a few people who have stars like that one, they all regret them.

That's literally where I work, making 10.75 and tips
And yah, I'll do the Helter Skelter one because I dig it. Meeps, they're cliche because they're Beatles tattoos, how can they NOT be cliche...
Voted the star so you can regret it in the future, but I think you'll regret any of those ideas so it doesn't make a difference.
Also, getting a tattoo is stupid if you want to earn actual money, but I see you're perfectly fine with living with your parents making 10 dollars an hour, so be my guest.

WoH duDe 10.75 n hOuR ur prob going to retire at 20 if you keep that pace up
Get a Beatles T-shirt instead of a life of regret.
Yah, it's a coffee shop, thats why.. there's no joke to that, you dimwit.
And guys.. it's a tattoo. MILLIONS of people have them, and they all do just fine. Jesus, get your head out of your asses, I didn't mean to offend anyone by wanting one

[QUOTE=Haunted;28785591]Get a Beatles T-shirt instead of a life of regret.[/QUOTE]
Why does everyone assume I'll regret a little tattoo on my arm, it's not like I'm getting a skull tattooed on my face, or a giant cock across my chest, its a little fucking mark that has significance to me.
You guys care too much about me, back off
[editline]24th March 2011[/editline]
Ooooooh Razzum's from Texas
That makes sense
Yeah what the fuck? If we want to earn REAL money we CANNOT have tattoos? What fuckin' dreamworld are you idiots living in.
Apparently a pretty fucked up one
The real world sucks. Deal with it.
Not really, it's kinda nice once you get used to the assholes and try-to-be-cool-hards
Personally, I don't mind forearm tattoos
It helps me decide who's an idiot without having to make that extra step of getting to know them
[QUOTE=zydos;28777179]Why the fuck would I wear a long sleeve shirt, I'm not going to work anywhere that stuck up, and I'm not ashamed of my taste in music. It's nothing rude or gross, it's as PG as tattoos get.

Couldn't deal.
Anyways, you obviously live in some utopia where the workforce doesn't care about tattoo's. That'd be pretty nice, but that certainly isn't the case.
They don't care, actually, I live in Vancouver, and Canada's about as chill as it gets.
So yah, I do live in a utopia where the workforce doesn't care. Every job I've had there have been atleast one or two people there with tattoos. My buddy has a bloody Decepticon tattoo on his right arm, and his boss says nothing about it
